No, but it does indicate how frequently members of Congress pass away unfortunately, which makes a narrow margin really hard to manage. As Chad says later in the thread, we're up to 7 members in the 118th Congress, beginning before they sworn in & now into the lame duck.

1) McEachin’s untimely death does not give some breathing room to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) in his quest to become Speaker. The new Congress will begin with 434 members. The magic number for McCarthy continues to be 218 - an outright majority of the entire body.

@jeffzeleny So is hugging and slobbering all over our flag like Trump did in a speech. It’s also unusual for a president to encourage hecklers to be beat up, and offer to pay attorney bills during a speech, or make fun of disabled people. Biden has dignity. Trump is severely lacking.
