3 days of our @EuropeInGhana funded stakeholder engagement on Ghana’s clinical trial ecosystem comes to an end with concrete actions. Participants are developing time-bound actions with measureable deliverables to strengthen governance, ethics oversight & institutional capacity.

Today, Ghana’s Maternal Mental Health Policy, has been launched, with funding from @UKinGhana. This policy is more than a document, it is a covenant with Ghanaian women to ensure care & support. Together, we commit to expanding access to quality maternal mental health services

Today, we join the closing ceremony of the Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme. Funded by @UKinGhana, the programme has improved Ghana’s capacity for disease surveillance, preparedness & response to public health threats.

Ghana’s first Health Inequality Monitoring Report 2025 has been launched. Funded by @UKinGhana, the report builds on strong collaboration between @WHO & national institutions. It serves as a strategic tool to support more equitable planning & targeted investments in the health.

We joined a technical meeting to complete Ghana's self-assessment for the 2026 Cancer imPACT Review, the first since 2006. Not conducted since 2006, this assessment marks a key step in evaluating Ghana’s cancer control capacity and guiding evidence-based improvements nationwide.

Over the past three days, the @WHO team has been supporting @_GHSofficial in advancing the National Action Plan for Health Security. Today, the team paid a courtesy visit to @fionabraka, @WHOGhana Rep, to update her on progress, share insights from their work.

Thanks to @UKinGhana, we are supporting @mohgovgh to update the Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Guidelines in alignment with @WHO standards. Implementing evidence-based IPC guidelines helps reduce healthcare-associated infections & improves the quality of care for patients.

Ghana is advancing Free #PHC as a pathway to #UHC. We join @mohgovgh, Development Partners and stakeholders to align on policy direction, key design issues and priority support areas to strengthen access, reduce financial barriers and build a resilient health system.

Together with @_GHSofficial, we adapted Social & Behavior Change materials on contraceptive use & #SRHR to better reflect young people’s realities in Ghana. Now, we are engaging adolescents themselves to ensure the messages resonate with them before the materials are finalised.

The highlight of our engagement with MPs was an interactive session where we shared findings on impact of excise bill amendments & MPs actively discussed the results The meeting ended with MPs reflecting on how health taxes can generate sustainable funding to advance #Health4All
