Informants could get 30% of any additional revenue HMRC receives. 💥 Cracking down on umbrella companies used to underpay tax by extending liability further up the supply chain. 💥 Introducing a new power to ban abusive tax schemes immediately, bypassing convoluted court processes. 💥 Blocking promoters of tax avoidance from accessing essential banking and social media services. 💥 Simplifying the process for issuing penalties to those who set up tax schemes without disclosing them to HMRC. 💥 Boosting HMRC powers to eliminate fraud within the Construction Industry Scheme.

We know people will be concerned about energy costs and rising prices at the pump.   From tomorrow, the new energy price cap kicks in and will save the typical working family around £117 a year off their energy bills.    Last week, the fuel duty freeze also took effect - saving the average motorist over £90.

I asked Google's AI to draw me a chart of what Labour has implemented on fuel duty since July 2024 (red line) compared to what the Conservative plans were going into the General Election (blue line). Speaks for itself.

Tories have called a debate in Parliament today on fuel duty. Brave. They went into the election with these plans: "Fuel duty will rise by 5p in March 2025 and will be uprated with RPI in every year from April 2025 onwards, in line with stated government policy." And want to criticise us for freezing it since July 2024! Jokers.

Quite something just how badly the Conservatives & Reform failed the test when it came to protecting the national interest. Both were so gung-ho about military action that they forgot to consider the financial & security implications for the British people. Not good.

Exactly. The share of young adults not in education, employment or training is too high & we need to bring it down. But it is unchanged since the general election, despite what some on the right keep pretending.
