@yassmin_a contrary to the above - potentially an assumed *lack* of knowledge that meant we got a skin-deep retrospective limited by wall space/gallery restrictions. Did feel it was a little underwhelming but hopefully enough to inspire further reading

@yassmin_a Didn't get to go into much detail at the cafe this afternoon, but think there's a combination of things. Certainly the Barbican audience is one influence, especially when combined with BFR being the first real Basquiat retrospective in the UK...

@gusunger I did think, though, that the candy wrappers in the cup holder should have been a deal breaker. We're in Lisbon/Bologna for Christmas, both back before NYE though if you're around?
