The funniest/saddest aspect of this piece is realizing that there are THIRTY-NINE different countries this hypothetical ambassador from a parliamentary nation with freer trade than the US could hail from (SIXTY-FIVE if you include non-parliamentary systems).

Yeah, Harry Potter was unironically wholesome, traditional, well within the custom of English fairytale magic, and by the end an explicitly biblical and Christological morality play about sacrificial love conquering death. Our evangelical parents missed badly. Simple as.
