Mohammad Rizwan today looked like a man trying to compensate for all the mistakes and criticism that had followed him in recent times. The innings carried intent, responsibility and belief. Had Salman Agha not fallen at that stage, Pakistan’s hopes might have stayed alive a little longer. Now the question is: can Rizwan turn the impossible into possible tomorrow? It feels almost unrealistic from here, but cricket has always been a game that leaves room for miracles. And if Rizwan somehow pulls this off, it could become one of the most memorable and defining comebacks of his career, a chance for him to win back the hearts of cricket fans, once again.

It is about time to ask Mohammad Rizwan if he even deserves a place in 11 given his keeping horrors? Since he’s so big on preaching the world over who deserves to qualify and who doesn’t.. What a sham!

Keep seeing versions of this and while Rizwan's keeping and T20 game has regressed, I really don't get this argument for Tests. Since Shan became captain, Rizwan is the only Pakistan batter to average over 40. No one else averages even 35. He makes the side as a batter alone.

I feel women cricket in Pakistan currently needs a stronger and more structured domestic foundation more than a PSL style league. Instead of short-term franchise tournament, the focus should be on building a proper regional domestic system under a consistent calendar, where players regularly compete and develop their skills. Introducing three day cricket for women is equally important, as longer-format matches help improve temperament, technique and game awareness. There must be clear pathways through age group and grassroots cricket to identify and bring the new talent into the system. The priority should first be expanding the player pool and strengthening the base of women cricket. A league can only thrive once that foundation is firmly in place.
