“Opulence in Lilac” Oil on Canvas 60cm x 50cm / 23.6” x 19.7” No image I take of this artwork can reflect the depth of it. Truly. Hard to calculate the amount of hours I spent on it, but it took me about 7 weeks to take it to completion. I used old masters technique, grisaille, a method where multiple layers of underpainting are applied first to achieve this exact depth of colour and profound “shine” of light. I absolutely want to sell an actually physical painting along with NFT. Not minted yet, but will be upon request. 💜

Hmm… I don’t know - I think it’s viewing of the past masters through the prism of times creates that effect. There are many incredible artists out there, but the time will show who will leave the mark. Unfortunately, the history also proves that it’s not always the best who make the name. I’d say Warhol is a great example of that.

Where are the Andy Warhols, Picassos, or Da Vincis of our time? Does the art world have anyone interesting worth knowing? I can’t think of one name that comes to mind. Curious about your thoughts.

@ahchoen Nah, War and Peace is not depressive, it’s just long and 2/3 of a book are descriptions of battlefields 🙈 Although maybe Bulgakov and his Master and Margarita would be a more exciting read and no less intense Never doubted your offspring is unique, just like their mum 🤌🏼
