@BelfastBooks I think what you heard was the original plan - build an office block and the church use a couple of floors and rent the rest out. The current plan is more modest

The Linen Hall Charity bookshop will soon be moving to a new home in Lombard Street, to set up shop in the building that was previously Caffè Nero, or for those a little older, the much beloved Delaney’s. The existing site opposite Castlecourt will close on Wednesday 20th May, and we will be open for business again after the bank holiday on Tuesday 26 May in Lombard Street. Many thanks to everyone for your continued book donations and custom, and we hope you will all enjoy the new premises. #LinenHall #OpeningMinds #Belfast

@RachelMoiselle As a Gentile, and growing up aware of all of the distinct British regiments with particular Catholic recruiting histories, was always surprised British Jews did not make more of this incredible history & the Jewish Legion in the Great War

Seeing this photo has made me well up. You often hear antisemitism described as a mental illness due to its conspiratorial nature. I’ve always viewed it first and foremost as a betrayal.

It’s been clear for a while that the Belfast student building boom is over. What will happened to permissioned, not started schemes? BTR? Into deep freeze? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@BraidenGB The site has planning for a student accommodation block but I can't see any more of those being built for a while. I suspect the developer will come up with a different plan
