Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire after being outspoken about his disillusionment with the war, the army covered it up, medical examiners suggested he was shot 3 times in the forehead at close range.

While I will always hold Pat Tillman in the highest regard, and remembering where I was when I heard he died is easy, his, and, more importantly, his family's treatment after this day in 2004 still makes me angry in 2021.

Pat Tillman became extremely anti imperialist during his time in the military & his diaries were burned and never recovered. He also had a meeting set with Noam Chomsky when he came home. He was a political time bomb. That shit wasn’t an accident.

Pat Tillman left the Arizona Cardinals to enlist in the U.S. Army after 9/11. He turned down a $3.6M contract offer at 25 years old. Tillman was killed in Afghanistan 17 years ago today. RIP.

Y’all use Pat Tillman’s memory for Political Gain EVERY YEAR AND ITS SICK. He was very much Anti-War and Anti Corruption so much that he planned to leave the army and join an anti-war effort but was killed by his own men days later.
