According to a report lodged at Mwihoko Police Station, a domestic altercation erupted at Wambui's shop in Delta area of Mwihoko Township. During the confrontation, the husband allegedly stabbed the wife on the right side of the chest with a spearhead, inflicting injuries that proved fatal before fleeing the scene. Officers responded swiftly to the scene, discovering Wambui lying in a pool of her own blood, bleeding profusely. Despite their swift action, rushing her to Kenyatta University, Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital (KUTRRH), she was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival. Her body has since been transferred to Kenyatta University Funeral Home for preservation, awaiting a postmortem examination. At the crime scene, investigators recovered the murder weapon, a bloodstained spearhead, which has been secured as exhibit. Following this, a manhunt was launched for the suspect, 59-year-old Charles Maina Karungae Kibue, who fled the scene immediately after the attack. Thanks to forensic leads, officers trailed and arrested him at a hideout in Kayole. Kibue is now in custody, undergoing processing pending arraignment. #FichuaKwaDCI. 𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗡𝗩𝗔𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 Detectives from DCI Kilimani, working jointly with officers from the DCI Nairobi Regional Office, have arrested three suspects linked to the violent invasion of All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi, where an ongoing meeting was forcefully disrupted. Acting on intelligence leads and supported by forensic analysis, detectives trailed and arrested George Omondi Otieno, Effenburg Wanyama Khisa, and Melvin Alumasa Bwani at various locations within Nairobi. During the operation, detectives recovered a red Boxer motorcycle, registration number KMFH 161S, believed to have been used in the commission of the offence. Additionally, mobile phones recovered from the suspects were also seized and secured for forensic examination to assist in the ongoing investigations. Investigations have since revealed that the attack was not the work of the three suspects alone. Detectives are actively pursuing more leads to establish the full extent of the criminal enterprise and identify and arrest all persons involved. The three now join two other suspects, earlier arrested in connection with the incident and are undergoing processing pending arraignment. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations wishes to assure the public that no effort will be spared in bringing all those responsible to justice. Places of worship are sanctuaries of peace and reflection, and any individual who seeks to violate their sanctity, threaten public safety or disrupt lawful gatherings will face the full force of the law. 𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗘𝗡𝗦 𝗣𝗨𝗦𝗛 𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗞 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗞𝗩𝗙 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 DCI Queens produced a spirited display against the experienced Kenya Pipeline in today’s KVF Women’s National League clash, pushing the Oilers all the way in a captivating four-set encounter. From the opening whistle, the Queens signaled their intent with sharp serves, disciplined defending, and relentless determination. Every rally was fiercely contested as DCI matched Pipeline point for point. However, the Oilers edged the opening set 25-23 after a late surge despite strong resistance from the sleuths. The Queens responded in emphatic fashion in the second set. Their attacking unit found its rhythm, combining powerful spikes with excellent court coverage to overwhelm Pipeline. Playing with confidence and precision, DCI dominated proceedings to claim a commanding 25-10 victory and level the match. Buoyed by the momentum, the Queens carried the fight into the third set, producing a series of well-worked attacks and resilient defensive displays. The contest intensified as both sides traded points in a high-quality showdown, but Pipeline held firm in the closing stages to take the set 25-22. The fourth set proved to be a tense battle of nerves. With the crowd fully engaged and the stakes rising, both teams fought relentlessly for control. The Queens refused to back down, matching the Oilers stride for stride as the scores remained locked at 20-20. In the decisive moments, Pipeline capitalised on a narrow opening to edge the set 25-23 and seal a hard-fought 3-1 victory. While the result favoured the Oilers, the performance once again highlighted the resilience, quality, and fighting spirit that continue to define DCI Queens. Their fearless display against one of the league’s top sides underlined their growing reputation as genuine contenders. Now sitting fourth in the KVF National League standings, the Queens turn their focus to a highly anticipated quarterfinal clash against Postbank later this month, determined to build on this performance and continue their impressive campaign.

𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗘𝗗, 𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗦𝗘𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗗 Detectives from the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) and the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) have arrested a drug trafficker, recovering a stash of cannabis sativa. Acting on a tip-off, the team set up an ambush along the Longonot stretch of the Maai Mahiu-Naivasha highway, where they intercepted a Scania truck bearing the registration number UBN 042. A swift search of the vehicle revealed three bales of cannabis sativa cleverly concealed in the cabin and toolbox. The suspect, 40-year-old Ugandan national Daniel Musubo, was arrested on the spot. The truck, alongside the illicit goods, was swiftly escorted to Muthaiga Police Station, where justice will soon take its course. 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡 The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is appealing to members of the public for information that may lead to the arrest of a suspect, whose photograph appears below, wanted in connection to the disappearance of a four-year-old child in Nakuru County. The child was reported missing at Mwariki Police Station on June 11, 2026. As the family desperately searched for their child, the suspect is alleged to have compounded their anguish by attempting to negotiate a ransom. Acting swiftly on intelligence leads, detectives from the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit (AHTCPU), working jointly with the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) at DCI Headquarters and Officers from Mwariki Police Station, trailed the suspect to a plot in Quarry area of Rongai. However, upon noticing the detectives closing in on him, the suspect fled into nearby slums and has since remained at large. A search of the room where he had spent the night led to the recovery of a mobile phone, personal belongings, and a mother-and-child clinic booklet bearing the particulars of another minor from Nakuru County, raising more questions about the suspect’s activities. Anyone with information that may assist in his arrest or help establish his whereabouts is urged to report to the nearest police station or anonymously through #FichuaKwaDCI. 𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗜𝗠 𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗚𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗬 With the clock ticking towards some of the world's most prestigious shooting championships, DCI's Charles Mugendi has shifted into top gear, leaving nothing to chance. The shooting sports enthusiast is currently in intensive preparation to sharpen his skills and fine-tune every move ahead of a demanding international shooting calendar. In a powerful show of teamwork, Mugendi has joined forces with Kenya Police Service marksman Aden Mohamed, proving that when it comes to flying the National Police Service flag high, competition takes a back seat to patriotism. The two elite shooters today engaged in a rigorous training session under the watchful eye of their Head Coach, Peter Njoroge, the IPSC Chief Range Officer, focusing on shooting patterns, precision, speed, and eliminating every possible weakness standing between them and victory. The duo's mission is clear: dominate the upcoming IPSC Level 3 Championship at Hado Shooting Range in Naivasha this July before taking their sights across the Atlantic to the IPSC Level 4 Pan-American Handgun Championship in Aruba this August, one of the most elite shooting competitions on the planet, where the world's finest marksmen converge for battle. As the training intensity rises and the countdown continues, one thing is becoming increasingly evident: Mugendi and Aden are not merely preparing to participate but preparing to compete, challenge, and make Kenya proud on the global stage.

𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗣𝗦 𝗗𝗘𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗢 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗥𝗨𝗣𝗧 𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗙𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗦 The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has today concluded an Anti-Money Laundering Training session at the National Criminal Investigations Academy (NCIA), reinforcing Kenya’s commitment to detecting, investigating, and disrupting complex financial crimes that threaten the integrity of our national economy. Bringing together DCI officers from the Capital Markets Authority (CMA), Banking Fraud Investigation Unit (BFIU), Insurance Fraud Investigation Unit (IFIU), Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU), among others, this comprehensive training equipped them with advanced skills in financial investigations, asset tracing, intelligence analysis, and the disruption of illicit financial networks. Participants enhanced their ability to gather and analyse financial evidence, improve inter-agency collaboration, and support the effective prosecution of offenders involved in financial crimes. Money laundering allows criminal enterprises to conceal proceeds from corruption, fraud, drug trafficking, terrorism financing, and other serious offences, undermining institutions, eroding public trust, and jeopardising Kenya’s reputation in the international financial community. Therefore, strengthening the capacity of investigators to trace financial transactions is not just an institutional priority; it is a national imperative. During the closing ceremony, NCIA Commandant Mr. Ibrahim Jillo, representing the Director of Criminal Investigations, urged participants to diligently apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired. He emphasised the importance of upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity and encouraged them to become champions of excellence in the fight against financial crime. Additionally, he urged participants to actively support Kenya’s efforts to achieve international anti-money laundering standards. Through continuous investment in specialised training and inter-agency collaboration, the DCI is playing a key role in strengthening Kenya's anti-money laundering framework, supporting compliance with global financial standards, and advancing national efforts to secure the country's removal from the FATF grey list while protecting the integrity of its financial system.

𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝟮𝟮.𝟰 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢 𝗛𝗘𝗜𝗦𝗧 Detectives from Imenti North have arrested three individuals implicated in a fraud scheme that siphoned off more than Sh22.4 million from a savings and credit cooperative society (SACCO). The investigation uncovered a complex fraud network, where the criminals wielded technology as their weapon, manipulating the SACCO’s computerised financial systems to enrich themselves at the expense of hardworking members. At the centre of this scandal is Allan Karani, the SACCO’s ICT Assistant Officer, who allegedly masterminded this audacious crime. Further inquiries revealed that accounts linked to Tony Mwenda, Sharon Kendi, Brivin Dentel, and Mawingu Plus Ltd served as conduits for receiving and withdrawing the stolen funds. The first breakthrough of the case came on June 4, 2026, when Tony Mwenda was apprehended, with authorities securing custodial orders to aid their relentless pursuit of justice. Yesterday, June 10, 2026, detectives executed a well-planned operation, leading to the arrest of Allan Karani, Betty Kanana, and Sharon Kendi. During the operation, officers seized several mobile phones and a company laptop, all earmarked for forensic analysis to unravel the full extent of this elaborate scheme. What was supposed to be a haven for savings has turned into a nightmare for many, with evidence indicating that a conspiracy involving multiple suspects was at play, utilising the SACCO's electronic systems to orchestrate their fraud. Currently in custody and awaiting arraignment, these three individuals could be just the tip of the iceberg, as investigations continue to unearth additional perpetrators in this shocking betrayal of trust. Detectives remain committed to safeguarding the interests of the community and ensuring that those who are responsible face the full force of the law. #FichuaKwaDCI. 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗔𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗦 𝗥𝗘𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗦 In a well-coordinated operation, law enforcement officers from Marsabit Police Station have arrested three suspects and recovered 13 pieces of elephant tusks. Acting on a concrete tip-off, the officers swarmed a residential house in the Majengo area. The suspects, Wario Ali Halo, Umuro Afani Duba, and Alkano Elema Galgalo, thought they were safe behind closed doors. However, Officers breached the hideout, catching the trio completely off guard. A rapid, thorough search of the premises led officers to a suspicious green sack sitting innocently on the floor. But inside was a grim harvest of greed: 13 pieces of freshly poached elephant tusks, representing the senseless slaughter of Kenya's heritage. The three suspects, alongside the recovered contraband, were swiftly escorted to the Marsabit Police Station. They are currently being processed ahead of their date with the court. Meanwhile, the tusks have been securely detained as exhibits. This operation underscores the National Police Service's commitment, in collaboration with other government agencies and stakeholders, in the fight against wildlife trafficking and the protection of endangered species. #FichuaKwaDCI. 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗬 𝗔𝗦 𝗗𝗖𝗜 𝗨𝗡𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗞𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗧 A team of detectives from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) have arrested five suspects in connection with a horrifying incident that occurred on May 21, 2026, in Tonto Village, Kamwimbi Location, Tharaka Nithi County, where a gang armed with firearms and crude weapons descended upon a homestead, leaving two people dead and two others fighting for their lives. At approximately 9:00 p.m., the attackers stormed the homestead, unleashing chaos as they fatally assaulted a man at the entrance. In a brazen display of violence, the assailants fired several shots into the air to intimidate nearby residents before they advanced deeper into the compound, where they ruthlessly took the life of an elderly woman. Amidst the brutality, two other victims were left seriously injured and urgently rushed to the hospital for life-saving treatment. Owing to the grave nature of the incident, detectives from CRIB Headquarters swiftly took over the investigation, embarking on an intensive intelligence-led operation. Through meticulous detective work and forensic analysis, they began to unearth the identities of several suspects believed to be directly connected to this horrific attack. A series of well-coordinated operations conducted between June 4 and June 8 culminated in the arrest of five individuals: Benson Mugendi Patrick, Kibet Collins Kemboi, Wilson Kinyua Nyaga, Josphat Nyaga Njue, and Joseph Kinyua Njeru, famously known as Maruu. 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗠𝗣 𝗡𝗔𝗕𝗕𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗛𝟱𝟲𝗠 𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗨𝗗 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗟 Detectives from the DCI Headquarters' Land Fraud Investigations Unit (LFIU) have apprehended Josphat Gichuge Mwirabua, aka Kabeabea, a former Member of Parliament for Tigania East and ex-Chairman of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA), for duping unsuspecting land buyers out of over Sh56 million. The scandal first came to light when a complainant revealed that in 2016, he and several other investors purchased plots measuring 50 by 100 feet from Diamond Property Merchants (DPM) Ltd. Each investor entered into individual agreements with DPM Ltd and made their payments directly to the company's bank accounts. In total, these innocent purchasers deposited approximately Sh16,476,950 into accounts belonging to the suspect. However, they soon discovered that the parcel of land in Kajiado where their plots were supposedly located had been transferred to other individuals without their knowledge, and subdivision was conducted without their consent. This shocking revelation prompted the victims to report the case for investigation. Following a thorough investigation, the findings were compiled and sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Upon review, the DPP agreed with the investigators' recommendations to charge the suspect with the offence of Obtaining Money by False Pretences. In a separate case involving the same suspect, complainants reported that the accused, being a Director of Diamond Property Merchants Company Ltd, whose offices were located along Kimathi Street, Nairobi, advertised that the company was selling parcels of land in Kajiado that were to be equipped with greenhouses. The complainants paid various amounts totalling Sh40,140,000. Unfortunately, the promised title deeds were never transferred, nor were the greenhouses installed. As investigations progressed, the DPP approved charges against the suspect. When summoned to appear in court, he defied the summons, prompting the Chief Magistrate's Court in Kajiado to issue a warrant for his arrest. Acting on the warrant, detectives swiftly trailed and arrested the suspect today. He is currently in custody, undergoing processing and is expected to be arraigned before the Milimani Law Courts before being escorted to the Kajiado Law Courts, where a warrant for his arrest remains in force. This case underscores the need for vigilance in land transactions, serving as a stark reminder to all Kenyans to be cautious when investing in property. #FichuaKwaDCI Call 0800 722 203 (toll-free) or WhatsApp 0709 570 000 to report anonymously.
