Spurgeon joins Mikko Koivu as the only players to wear a #mnwild sweater for the first 1,000 games of their NHL careers.
He is the 76th player in NHL history to play his first 1,000 career games with a single franchise, and the 85th player (84 skaters, one goaltender) to appear in 1,000 games with a single franchise at any point.

Just two days after he watched the Wild beat Vegas in OT, Weston Paszkiewicz's family announced via his CaringBridge that Weston passed away peacefully last night. "We sadly share that Weston passed away this evening at 7:40 pm. He has completed his battle with cancer and as our kids say, is now cancer free! He was surrounded by his family and passed peacefully while watching a hockey game believe it or not."
