There are 3 problems with our media that are fueling polarization: 1. The closing of 2,000 local papers, which are typically not very partisan; 2. Cable news maximizing audience share by adopting political stances (Fox); and 3. Social media’s supercharging of conspiracy theories.

There is a lot of evidence that opening schools will increase the risk of transmission. Gavin Williamson and @RCPCHPresident should not play this down. Reducing transmission risk through ventilation, open windows and outdoor classes is a top priority. And FTTIS.

There is not going to be any attempt to test them as they return, nobody is clear about children to adult, or adult to children transmission but we know it is prevalent with flu and colds... #schoolsreopeninguk
