It offers a ubiquitous, short-range alternative to traditional wireless technologies, providing high device compatibility & enhanced security.  Modern advancements like the High-speed, long-range, & Robust Chirp Spread Spectrum (HRCSS) scheme have shown robust performance, delivering 125 bits per second (bps) w/ zero bit error rate (BER) @ 20 meters. (60 feet) Some systems are designed to reach up to 70-85 meters in large indoor environments by mitigating multipath & Doppler effects. An inaudible acoustic communication system on Android phones that breaks the range limit is proposed in this paper, owing to an innovative design of the receiver by considering the time–frequency features of the received signals, using a fractional Fourier transform and 2-D mask filter to denoise the signals, & a hard detection & soft detection approach to detect the symbols so as to tackle the severe multipath & Doppler effects in large indoor environments. Onsite test results show that an error-free communication distance of 70 m can be achieved @ 20 bps, & the estimated maximum communication range could reach @ least 85 m. sciencedirect.com/science/articl… Aerial Acoustic Communication (AAC) has attracted much attention recently due to its ubiquitous device support. However, the transmission rate has largely throttled the boom of AAC-enabled applications. We propose a high-speed AAC system that modulates messages over the entire bandwidth but is unobtrusive to end users. We achieve high bandwidth efficiency thru a dynamic modulation mechanism. Specifically, we propose a high-order phase-based modulation mechanism on existing audio channels. Additionally, we leverage the auditory masking effect to embed data streams over the unused frequency band. Thru a sophisticated power analysis & frequency allocation scheme, the changes made by these 2 modulation techniques on existing audio can be imperceptible to human ears. Furthermore, we utilize the loose orthogonal modulation on the inaudible channel to further boost the transmission rate.
