Rivals is a horrible game. I'm a overwatch non-pro player and I have been top 5,000,000 since the game's release. I played rivals on initial release and in my mind rivals had always been the amazing game that I played back then as a adult. Going back to it now and trying to enjoy it is impossible. -The whole game is horribly balanced and tanks only exist to be a punching bag for everyone else to charge ultimates off. You have no real strength on tank, always disrespected by everyone, and despite being the weakest and least popular role - still constantly getting nerfed. -Supports are basically just healbots with the lowest skill requirements while having the biggest proportional impact. Their stat numbers are always insanely bloated and we've been in a triple support meta for over a year. -Most ultimates are stupidly overtuned and are either giant circles of healing or damage. Completely boring design with no skill requirement to use that charge up instantly, forcing the entire game to revolve around them and killing any possibility of a neutral game from occurring. Luna Snow ult still lasting 10 seconds in 2026 is a complete joke. -6v6 with no role queue or role lock. Where no one wants to play tank and people instalock 3-5 dps and would rather lose than swap to a second tank to help the team and then blame you as the solo tank anyway even though this is your Nth game in mag jail and all you want to do is just play dps for one game but you can't because no one else ever wants to tank. The reason for all of this is simply because the game is optimised for engagement instead of actually rewarding personal skill. Everything in the game is designed to get you to requeue as often as possible so that even if you go on a losing streak, the game throws in you a bot match to keep you happy. Everything is overtuned and optimised for dopamine spikes so that you don't put down the game, that's why dps deal insane damage, supports heal stupidly high amounts, and ultimates are both overpowered and charged way too fast - all to make low skilled players feel good so they keep playing at the cost of removing any opportunity of having a real neutral game exist. Rivals is horrible. Fix your game
