I demanded in Parliament that PATERNITY LEAVE should be a legal right in India. When a child is born, both parents are congratulated. But caregiving responsibility falls on one. The mother. A father should not have to choose between caregiving for his newborn and keeping his job. And a mother should not have to go through childbirth & recovery without her husband’s support Right after childbirth the woman, needs her husband’s presence the most. The husband’s caregiving responsibility towards his wife is equally important. I raised this issue in Parliament because caregiving is a shared responsibility. Our laws must reflect that.

Painful Pill for the Patients👇 • Starting 1st April, 2026 Modi Govt. and NPPA (National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority) is hiking the ceiling prices of over 900 essential drugs including lifesaving medicines, as also essential medicines to treat Diabetes, Hypertension and Infectious Diseases. For example; the MRP for critical last resort Antibiotics used in ICU’s i.e Meropenam 500 mg is being hiked as also is the case for Meropenam 1000 mg. Even “Coronary Stent” prices have been revised upwards. 31 new drugs for extensive treatment of Diabetes and Hypertension will see a similar price hike. • Profiteering from the misery of the people has been the norm for the BJP Govt. This is the reason why the Modi Govt. continues to levy a 12% GST on all Essential Medications, despite repeated demands for exemption on Life Saving, Critical and Essential Medicines. • Every 1st April has been used by the Modi govt. for burdening the sick and infirm with price hike of medications. On 1st April, 2022 the Modi Govt and NPPA hiked the price of Medicines by 10.76%. On 1st April 2023, Modi Govt broke its own record of medicines prices hike by sanctioning a burdensome 12.12% hike. The story is never ending. Now, 1st April, 2026 is again going to see a hike in prices of over 900 essential drug formulations.

Yet films continue to depict suicide methods and receive certification. Films like O’Romeo (in image) bring this into focus, where such portrayals can affect vulnerable viewers. This is not about censorship. It is a public health issue. We already mandate smoking warnings.
