To clarify, the current terminals can support peak download speeds of 400-500 Mbps. The 220 Mbps number is referring to actual in-flight performance given that the satellite to user beams are shared amongst users. For larger commercial planes, we allocate more resources to ensure sufficient bandwidth. Other providers quote peak speeds as real performance, which is only relevant if you have very few users. @starlink quotes real performance measured via automated network performance tests. The latest aviation terminal supports two channels, so up to 1 Gbps peak speeds per terminal (the A380 design consists of 3 of these terminals). We will continue to increase peak bandwidth per terminal in future revisions.

Top feed is our #LB1 custom fully remote control live stream system operated anywhere in the world via @Starlink with sub second connection. Bottom is NASCAR RF range only within track limits. While I would agree Starlink is not needed in this case. I would argue that it proves the capabilities and quality that we are able to put out. I wouldn’t rule out Starlink in this capacity down the road as it give unlimited amount of camera channels vs RF. Our helicopter systems and car systems are continuing to grow and expand ! @1_NineIndust #broadcast #live

"How I streamed my off-road Miata race using @Starlink and StarStream." 🛰️🏎️ Regardless of your interest in motorsport, you’ve almost certainly heard of the Monaco Grand Prix, Daytona 500, and Indianapolis 500. These iconic races are easy to spectate, with grandstands lining the course and a camera or two at every turn. Video feeds from the race can be transmitted live thanks to the infrastructure of the populated areas surrounding the tracks. But what if your course is 100 miles (161 km) from nowhere? It’s 1,000 miles (1,610 km) long, and the only way to access it is on bumpy, dirty access roads that require four-wheel drive and plenty of clearance. If you want to watch the whole race with your own eyes, you’ll need to hire a helicopter. And broadcasting it live on TV? Good luck. All that is changing with the advent of StarStream, a video and content streaming service that can be used with Starlink, the low-Earth-orbit satellite Internet system that has changed the way off-road race teams communicate. But George Hammel, a former motocross and UTV racer, saw even more potential: a way to bring fans into the cockpit, live. George Hammel wrote code that breaks down video data into small enough packets that can fit through Starlink’s data points --- and StarStream was born.

I was on a day trip in California last week working on some development for our Motorsports live program. Walked out and saw Helinet Aviation Services Air 7 fly over with our TTaero SLB1 Bracket system. Being in Huntington Beach knowing they are typically in LA. I know our technology is giving them the possibility of getting further away from were they typically are located because #Starlink Live gives no boundaries. What an exciting time to be alive. Seeing our products being used everyday and literally all over the globe motivates us to create more and dig deeper. From the air to the ground. Our systems bring broadcast tech completely mobile and controlled remotely anywhere in the world, and the quality of what we do it at shows what is capable now and into the future! Thank you for riding with wave with us. Our mission is create the standard 🙏 #TTAero #1nineindustries #Aviation #Broadcast @Starlink @elonmusk

@Doitforbmoore @Starlink @SpaceX I wondered when this aired a while back. Did they have a failure or was it just one of those JV or Baja desert traps.

How strong is the new Gen 3 Hp @Starlink dish? Well. Strong enough to roll 9 times and get thrown about 100 yards away from where the truck landed. Good job starlink team on the new dish. She passed the test 💪💪

Starlink provided satellite internet connectivity for Team Trackhouse Racing during the Daytona 500 qualifying sessions. The deployment allowed for the real time transmission of telemetry data from the racecar to engineers and pit crews, showing everyone Starlink's capability for low latency performance in high-stakes racing.
