Tonight was overwhelming in the best way. Not only was I officially sworn in as a Trustee for Alvin ISD, but I was also nominated and elected to serve as Vice President of the Board. As I shared tonight, this moment did not begin in the boardroom. It began in countless conversations—with students, parents, educators, and community members. I carry each of those voices with me, and I won’t forget the people who poured into me and trusted me to be their advocate. God saw fit to place me in this position, and I do not take that lightly. I am committed to advocating for every single individual in our district and ensuring that we stay galvanized and grounded in our purpose—every single day. To God be the glory.

Congratulations to my wife, now the Honorable Judge Allyce Bailey, on your swearing-in. You’ve wanted to be a judge since you were a little kid and now that is a reality. I’m proud to be by your side on the journey!
