I didn’t fully understand what David meant in Psalm 27 when he wrote, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living,” until I walked through a season where seeing it felt almost impossible. He wasn’t writing from a place of comfort. David wrote that amid enemies surrounding him, uncertainty, and a season where everything felt like it was working against him. Yet he made a declaration not a wish or a prayer request, but a confident declaration that he would see God’s goodness in this life, not just eventually, but here. I think of that for every woman in a hard season right now, wondering if things will ever turn around or if the goodness is real for others but not for her. It is for you. The goodness is real and coming into your actual life not just your faith life into your relationships, health, finances, peace, and the areas where you’ve waited longest. Stay confident, not because you can see it yet, but because He said it. And what He says doesn’t return void. 🤍

You can literally have the worst week of your life and then a few days later, life becomes so beautiful again and you feel happier than ever. Remember this when you're going through a rough patch. It will pass. Give it time. God is on your side.

I’m reading Psalms 23 and realizing that David was really just asking God to regulate his nervous system and quiet his anxiety. That language obviously just didn’t exist yet. 🥹

The Lord heard my cry and gave me a new song. He answered my prayers and gave me double for all my trouble. 🙏🏽

Spiritual warfare 101 - No matter how overwhelmed you “feel” inside, never show the devil. You see, the devil is NOT Omniscient, so he does not know all things. The things he knows about us are things said and spoken of us. Or the things we let out from our mouths ourselves or by our reactions and actions. So while you may be overwhelmed in your soul, the way he gets to know is from your reaction. And because he is a wicked and oppressive entity, when he knows where it hurts, he robs it in the more. But responding in praise confounds him. This is exactly the rationale behind the idea that praise confuses the enemy. Because he can’t understand why his onslaught is not causing you to give up and give in. So beloved saints of God, regardless how you feel right now, find a way to release your praise ! “14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.” Psalm 71:14. I feel a strong urge to say this and I don’t know who it might be for but God’s best is never in the past. Never ever. If it could end, it’s never God’s best. And if it was lost from mishandling, there is always restoration and mercy.❤️
