@NWBBstats Par for the course. Teams from the west are always underrepresented, Midwest teams are always overrepresented. In the last 30 years, 28 of the national champions are from the West or the South, but 1/2 the ranked teams every year are from Midwest.

Some pretty astounding differences between the NAIA coaches poll and data-based ranking services. LC State is the #1 team on both Pear and CBR. Coaches ranked them #5. UBC is the #7 Pear team and #11 CBR team, yet are unranked by coaches. With only 2 technical West Coast teams ranked (LC and Hope), the spread in data comes from coaches believing NAIA strength comes from the East half of the country, with data saying the West Coast is stronger than anticipated (despite having fewer teams). With 2 of the last 3 unique champs coming from the West Coast and LC State's historic dominance, the coaches' poll brings forth many questions.
