A game designer once made a Minecraft world that was supposed to work like a religion. Only one copy existed, stored on a single USB stick. You could play it once, until you died, then you had to pass it to someone else and never talk about what you saw. Then the person who got it tried to auction it.

@ScottApogee I've seen at least two indie developers use idTech 4 (the Doom 3 engine) to develop games with, since it's open source. I'm glad it's still getting used but I'm also sad that idTech 5 and onwards are only available for Bethesda published games.

The Doom 3 engine is underrated, IMO.
