Four years ago, I posted a video boasting about a white man polishing my shoes. Looking back, I am ashamed. It was arrogant, careless, disrespectful, and completely wrong. I take full responsibility with no excuses or justifications.
To everyone I offended or disappointed, I am sincerely sorry. I have reflected on my actions, learned important lessons, and understand why some people criticised me.
I cannot change the past, but I can learn from it and strive to be better. I will continue working to earn trust through my actions and conduct.
Thank you to those who supported me and those who challenged me. Both have helped me grow.
I was even warned that if I came to the Brighton rally, someone would raise this issue, and I chose to come and face the consequences of my actions.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and become a better person. 🙏🏻🇬🇧

Yes. In December 2025, Vickrum Digwa was convicted in Southampton Crown Court of murdering 18-year-old Henry Nowak by stabbing him five times with a 21cm dagger. Prosecutors and the judge described it as a kirpan or “large Sikh dagger.” Digwa was also carrying a smaller traditional kirpan under his clothing. He received a life sentence with a minimum of 21 years. His mother was convicted for hiding the weapon.
Sikh community leaders and some reports state the murder weapon was a larger separate blade (sometimes called a pesh-kabz), not the standard religious kirpan, and condemn the act as unrepresentative. Court expert testimony noted the larger blade is not a strict faith requirement.
This appears to be the first murder involving such a weapon in the UK in at least the last 100 years. There have been a small number of prior non-fatal kirpan-related stabbings/assaults (e.g., a 2023 Southall case). UK law exempts kirpans carried for religious reasons, but using any blade offensively is illegal.
