For over 100 years, @EasterSeals has been helping children and adults with disabilities access the programs, equipment, and support they need to live fully and independently. Today, during Easter Seals month, I was pleased to stand in the House of Commons and formally thank them for the important work they do.

We met with team members of the Honourable @PattyHajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families, for a productive discussion on AI, infrastructure, employment and our accessible camps across Canada. #CdnPoli

Winter can especially be a challenging period for many Canadians with disabilities due to un-shovelled and icy sidewalks, shorter days, and harsher weather. Winter can feel isolating for some neighbours. Check in, stop by for a chat and a warm drink, or offer help with groceries or medications. Effective February 16th, 2026, the price of the Access 2 Card will be $25 for a 3-year card and $35 for a 5-year card. Any cards purchased before this date will remain at the current price of $20 for a 3-year card and $30 for a 5-year card. This February marks the 30th year of Black History Month in Canada — a time to honour the legacy, achievements and ongoing contributions of Black communities who continue to shape our country. Black history is Canadian history, and these stories deserve recognition, respect and visibility. #BlackHistoryMonth

Winter can be an especially challenging time for many Canadians with disabilities due to unshoveled and icy sidewalks, shorter days, and harsher weather. Here’s one way you can make a difference and become an accessibility champion in your community: ➡️ Salt and shovel your sidewalk when it snows to ensure that paths are clear and safe for all pedestrians, including those using mobility aids! ❄️ An accessibility champion is someone who advocates, spreads awareness, and helps create a more accessible environment.
