A couple months ago I got my haircut by a new barber and we got into a HEATED debate about how often electric vehicles catch fire. I argued that, while they do take longer to put out, they occur less frequently and are less explosive. She believed that not only are they more difficult to extinguish, they also happen more often and are more deadly. Today I saw her again, she had done some research and admitted she was wrong - EV fires are statistically less common by every metric and are less likely to cause injury if they do catch fire than gas cars. scitechdaily.com/what-makes-ele…

@harrismonkey That’s what happens when they employ a test driver who’s more comfortable rippin’ lap times than sliding sideways. And when the editor doesn’t understand the difference between a clean drift (especially the ending of one) & the car simply losing traction.

Will never understand some of the B-roll car makers release of new models. This just makes the 296 look snappy and evil.

The M2 Comp returns from @Litchfield_UK with Bilstein suspension (in place of BMW Perf. KWs) and satin silver wheels. Never liked the two tone diamond cut 788M but in silver they look great IMO esp. with the clear glass. Time to drive it now and hopefully it’s transformed...

As a proponent of canopy-style driver protection since my senior thesis at ACCD in ‘91 when I started designing open-wheel cars with canopies, I applaud IndyCar for this aero screen. That was nearly 30 yrs ago, so yeah, I feel qualified to say it’s about damn time! [ 🎤mic drop ]

@TommyKendall11 I’ve tried & tried, & am trying again this season, so far to no avail. They just seem slow... the “racing” anything but. Ugh... bring back ‘90s Group C cars. And while at it, ‘90s Trans-Am... & CART. Actually, IndyCar seems one of the few series getting it right currently.

I felt like I should watch the Formula E opener, but then I remembered I’m trying to cut back on masochistic wasting of time with no enjoyment this year. Oh well🤷🏼‍♂️
