The problem with the NHL Playoff Format is the matchups are all over the place. We just got the 1-seed vs the 8-seed in the 2nd Round instead of the 1st Round. The Hurricanes swept the Flyers with ease. I want great teams battling deep in the Playoffs. Not what we just saw.

About the Canes discourse… Team finished top of their division, with a goalie having the worst season of their career, a goalie with a stellar NHL debut, their top defenseman out half the season & multiple 20+ goal scorers. Oh, & an 8-0 playoff start. FULL TEAM EFFORT.
