Digital predictions were supposed to make the future easier to understand, yet most days it still feels like we are surrounded by confident guesses that do not always survive contact with the market. Experts speak, influencers post bold forecasts, analysts publish long reports, and somehow the market still finds a way to humble everyone. After spending some time exploring @pots_money and @pots_market, I started thinking about that problem differently because maybe the real issue has never been the lack of information, but rather who we trust to interpret the future. A THREAD 🧵

@pots_money @pots_market Just shared a practical walkthrough video showing my real experience using the @pots_money DApp step by step. 👇 x.com/EdrinValecrest…
Edrin Valecrest@EdrinValecrest

Over the past few days, I kept seeing people talk about @pots_money, especially after the ownership renounce, so I finally decided to stop watching from the outside and spend time using the product directly myself. I recorded the full walkthrough while moving through the DApp step by step. From wallet connection, dashboard metrics, bonding flow, “My Bonds” tracking, staking, and swap, to understanding how each part of the system connects together in practice. One thing I’ll say before you watch: the product makes much more sense once you are actually inside interacting with it yourself. If you’ve been curious about the ecosystem but didn’t know where to start, watch this properly and explore the DApp yourself too: defi.pots.money Full walkthrough below 👇🧵

If you’ve been seeing @pots_money around lately but haven’t explored the platform yourself yet, I genuinely think you should take time to test it directly. Move through the dashboard. Check the bonding flow. Watch how the system behaves. That hands-on experience changes how you understand the ecosystem. DApp: defi.pots.money Full walkthrough video is attached in the first tweet👆

That was honestly my biggest takeaway after spending time inside @pots_money directly. Not the APY screenshots. Not the debates on the timeline. Not the narratives. Just opening the product yourself, interacting with the system directly, and understanding how the flow actually behaves from inside the DApp. Sometimes that tells you more than opinions ever will.

This is also why Pendle keeps pulling serious capital into these markets before most people fully process what’s happening underneath. The protocol sits at the intersection of stablecoin design, structured yield, and market pricing. It turns passive exposure into something tradable and measurable. In this case, the market is effectively saying: “If dividend concentration remains strong and APYX incentives matter, locking fixed exposure today has value.” That is a very different thought process from simply chasing APY numbers on a dashboard. And honestly, this is where Pendle becomes difficult to ignore.

What most people overlook is that Pendle is not “creating” extra yield here. It is restructuring future cash flows the same way traditional finance separates bond principal from coupon payments. PT becomes the discounted principal side. YT absorbs the floating yield side plus APYX point exposure. That means the fixed return you see on PT-apyUSD is really the market pricing in two things at once: The concentrated dividend mechanics inside apyUSD itself The value participants assign to future APYX distribution and ecosystem upside Once you understand that, the spread versus standard Treasury products stops looking strange.

A lot of people see “~16% fixed APY” on PT apyUSD and immediately assume the market is mispricing risk somewhere. But if you slow down and follow the mechanics carefully, it actually makes sense. The important detail is that apxUSD and apyUSD are not receiving value in the same way. apxUSD is backed by STRC and SATA, but the dividend flow concentrates into apyUSD stakers specifically. So when less than 100% of apxUSD is staked, the yield per apyUSD holder naturally becomes amplified. @pendle_fi simply takes that amplified stream and lets the market price it cleanly into PT and YT. My takeaway is simple. Renouncing ownership does not make @pots_money perfect, but it removes the biggest “what if” that usually sits in the background when using DeFi. Now I spend less time thinking about what might change and more time watching how the system actually behaves. DApp: defi.pots.money

The timing also adds weight to the decision. This was done after the product was already live, after treasury value was built, and after users had already gone through bonding and seen how the system works. It was not used to attract users, it was done while users were already inside.

I had an active 90-day bond on @pots_money when they renounced contract ownership a few days ago. With my principal locked, rewards already ticking, and a clear countdown running. So instead of reacting to the announcement like most posts, I looked at it from inside the system. Where the only thing that matters is what actually changes when your funds are already in.
