I am thrilled to announce a new citywide literacy challenge officially launching early next year asking the whole city to join us in reading one million hours in 2024! This challenge will build on @READ_JAX and their “20 Minutes a Day Paves the Way” initiative that’s already happening through the @JaxPEF. We’re also going to provide some really cool incentives and prizes to make it really fun for everyone and help us hit that goal of one million hours - stay tuned for those details! The @jaxlibrary, with their partners @WinnDixie are giving 8,000 pre-k students a head start on the challenge, announcing 8 new Jax Kids Book Club titles by local artists and illustrators yesterday. It was so much fun handing out these amazing books and seeing the smiles on these kids faces! Thank you to the library and all of our partners for teaming up for such an important cause.
