🚨 SNEK ENERGY UPDATE 🚨 Wow, what a blur. And overdue update… We had a hunch that we would do well with a pre-sale with the support of the community, but we definitely didn’t expect to receive payment/sell over 4,000 cases in only 72 hours. 🎉 Additionally, we’ve received commitments from other businesses to purchase more – carrying our expected sales in this pre-sale to over 5,000 cases. Specific Sales Numbers (+/- a few cases): 📊 - 2084 Charity Cases were sold for future events (thanks international frens). - 2006 Cases will be shipped directly to customers within the United States. - The remaining cases were sold to businesses with net terms, meaning we defer payment from them per their specific negotiated terms. Disclaimer – these numbers are accurate but there are a few transaction errors that could change the final counts by a few cases, but it’s close enough for us to disclose this now. The big question you want to know – “Wen?” 👀 Barring any unforeseen odd procurement issues, we’re slated to fill cans on Sept. 12th. This means shipping should start the week of Sept 18th. SNEK started transparently and SNEK ENERGY will follow in those footsteps. Below is a detailed lessons learned and how we are going to improve in the future: - Our credit card processing cart was not setup perfectly with the processor, and when we collected data, we did not have the right metadata in the cart to more easily sort the downloadable data. We had to manually go through and verify all 1900+ transactions. - During a legal check, we realized we missed a disclaimer that needs to be sent out to everyone who purchased the product. We will be emailing everyone next week and requesting their confirmation of understanding. This keeps our tails clean and ensures we can stay focused on the windshield and not the rearview mirror. Please keep an eye out in your email for this confirmation. - We didn’t have access to pre-sale funds on STRIPE website until 7/28. This is the largest reason for the delay because we couldn’t secure our slot with the manufacturers without a significant deposit. This happened for two reasons: (1) we pulled down the ordering pages to avoid confusion and stop collecting sales but during a regular processor audit, we were blocked from withdrawing funds and (2) we collected a ton of orders in only 72 hours and that “looked suspicious”. Next on the agenda... Snek Energy website 💻 - We are in the process of re-vamping the website with full inventory control, fulfillment integration, credit card processing changes (*cough* changenow?), which will solve all the problems mentioned above. - We ordered more cases than bought to build an inventory and process next sales with shorter lead time. - The new website comes with a major visual upgrade and should be operational by the end of August. 🙌 Pre-sale Points and ADA Address Validation ✅ - By 8/9, our snek.energy website will have a searchable database that will allow you to see your expected point calculation. You need to do THREE (3) THINGS: ➡️ Verify your wallet address. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to change this in the future, but we will do everything we can to support. ➡️ Verify your expected points calculation before the final lock date (8/23 at 0420 UTC). ➡️ We will send everyone an email for Confirmation of understanding (To confirm you’ve verified your wallet address & points). Airdrop commencement 🪂 - We expect to perform the first airdrop from the pre-sale at the end of August. - The pre-sale airdrop pool will be calculated the week of the airdrop but the airdrop total pool in USD is ~$8,500 (5% of each case – excluding sales tax collected and shipping costs). - The pre-sale airdrop is not considering B2B orders as these will be paid after delivery and included in future airdrops.
