Can you remember the first game you played on this? What was it and when?

I was trying to remember the name of that PS2 game about Nina Williams and tried to search for "Tekken Nil By Mouth". Turns out it's Death By Degrees.

I've been playing Crimson Dragon on my Xbox. ... guess Panzer Dragoon Zwei/Orta is hard to top. Those games nailed the controls and combat so well.

Okay, thinking about the Super Mario Bros movie more, why did A-Ha's 'Take On Me' play in that one scene!? Because the music video also had people driving?!

Got around to watching the Mario movie. Fun, but every time licensed music started playing my brain had to take a moment to adjust.

I often wondered if there was the reverse of pan-and-scan—butchering films by showing them in a reduced aspect ratio with someone else deciding where the focus should be in the scenes—and there is! It's getting AI to try and fudge what's outside the frame of a piece of art.

@Stealth40k If only! I'd also accept a three pack of Dreamcast 3D fighting games: Tech Romancer/Project Justice/Plasma Sword.

Capcom is on a roll... they elevated Monster Hunter/Resident Evil and now they've done the same for Street Fighter. Even the Mega Man Battle Network Collection was fantastic. It's clear what has to happen next... Breath of Fire!

Doing DDP yoga when it's warm out is a total killer I'm a sweaty man at the best of times, but on days like this it just gets ridiculous 🤣 But it's an incredible course. Down 15kg in 3 months & would recommend it to everyone. DDP is a saint of a man. One of the good ones

@goji_guy Do you think it's a streaming service availability thing, or a change in retail tastes at conventions?

I will say, as much as I enjoyed Anime North 2023 there was only one booth actually dedicated to selling anime. Finding anime to buy at the con was incredibly difficult. Jewelry, glassware, and clothing? Easy to find. Anime? Almost none.

Hard to think Xenoblade Definitive Edition + Future Connected is 3 today! #XenobladeDE_fes23 Loved the addition of expert mode, wish 2 and 3 had that kind of level control on the fly during first playthroughs, and it meant all three titles are on one system.

They missed a trick by calling it Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity instead of Age of the Calamity. Then there'd be: Breath of the Wild Age of the Calamity Tears of the Kingdom.

@docsquiddy Started replaying Prototype recently. Traversal always feels so fun in that game. As does dropkicking a helecopter.

Tears of the Kingdom is an improvement on BotW in every regard. Hyrule feels a lot more characteful and lived in, the addition of wells/caves and the Depths/Sky make it feel like such a bigger adventure (though I do miss bomb runes)

Today's activity: Wait for the post to arrive to experience some Tears (of the Kingdom)
