🍽️ Seven surprising lunch break stats! 35,000 workers spilled the beans on lunch breaks in our @compassgroupuk Global Eating at Work Survey. Here’s what they had to say: 1. Nearly half of UK workers eat lunch alone. 2. 70% of workers choose to eat lunch with colleagues in workplaces with an advanced food offering, a workplace restaurant or cafe. 3. 73% of UK workers say that taking a lunch break makes them more productive. 4. UK lunch breaks now average 33 minutes. 5. 7 in 10 UK workers think employers should provide quality breakout areas. 6. UK employees working five days a week skip at least one lunch break per week. 7. 10% of UK workers take no breaks at all during their working week.
