@thogge I admittedly was wrong about this one. I thought more people would enjoy making and sharing them easily with each other.

@603me Took five years of misery to get the PhD. Would appreciate the full Dr. Kidding. Teach me though about supply and demand from your perspective. What am I missing?

@gas_biz Gas up 31% in 3 weeks because of a war we have zero control over. Electricity? Barely moved. EV charging at home: ~4 cents/mile Gas right now: ~13-15 cents/mile Your electric bill doesn’t care what’s happening in the Strait of Hormuz.

After 800+ miles and 15 hours of straight driving with Tesla Self-Driving, I’ve made it to Nashville, TN. I just clicked a button, and my car drove me across part of the country to my destination. It doesn’t make sense to buy anything else but a Tesla at this point.

@Evautoalex And if you are referring to "we" as in me and you. I do have some level of control over it and voted for the candidate that didn't get us into this war. Unfortunately everyone else in Utah believed the lies of the "peace candidate"

Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022: Gas: +42% in 4 months Electricity: +10% over the full year Iran war 2026: Gas: +34% in 30 days Electricity: +3.3% same period Gas reacts to war in days. Electricity barely flinches. Power from one global commodity vs a grid that runs on dozens of sources is why. FYI: There are so many ICE cars I love. Not a hater. And EV’s aren’t for everyone that’s for sure.

@Evautoalex The cost to charge this truck is not at all inexpensive. I built a garage that has a charger, a refrigerator and a space heater in it. I’ll pull the bills tomorrow so we can compare notes.

@gas_biz Would love to see the numbers. Try separating the charger from that space heater, those things are energy hogs here in Utah haha. The apples to apples comparison is cost per mile IMO.

@gas_biz I’m the EV version of you, but not anonymous. I sold 3,000 EV’s last year. I can produce all the data you’d like. There is no world where an apples to apples comparison of cost savings favors ICE when gas prices are increasing.

Any list of moats that does not include brand is very wrong. Brand is not only a moat, it’s one of the only moats getting more powerful - relative to other moats - over time.

Swapped my Lamborghini Revuelto for a Tesla Model Y. Some might think that’s a weird trade but I definitely got the better end of the deal.

@Evautoalex @GJMcClintock @ToddLlewellyn I have been in your lives so many times. You are such a humble person. I have seen you openly, on live. admit you were wrong on someone’s first sale. A battery warranty maybe. You boom, addressed, admitted, moved on. Floored me.

Yesterday Mark Cuban reposted my work, DM'd me, and told me to keep telling my story. So here it is. I'm a Master Electrician. IBEW Local 369. 15 years pulling wire in Kentucky. Zero coding background. I didn't go to Stanford. I went to trade school. Every week I'd show up to a home where someone just bought a Tesla or a Rivian. And every time, someone had already told them they needed a $3,000-$5,000 panel upgrade to install a charger. 70% of the time? They didn't need it. The math is in the NEC — Section 220.82. Load calculations. But nobody was doing them for homeowners. Electricians upsell. Dealers don't know. And the homeowner just pays. I got angry enough to build something about it. I found @claudeai. No coding experience. I just started talking to it like I'd explain a job to an apprentice. "Here's how load calcs work. Here's the NEC code. Now help me build a tool that does this." 6 months later — @ChargeRight is live. Real software. Stripe payments. PDF reports. NEC 220.82 calculations automated. $12.99 instead of a $500 truck roll. I'm still pulling wire. I still take service calls. I wake up at 5:05 AM for work. But something shifted. Yesterday @vivilinsv published my story as Claude Builder Spotlight #1. Mark Cuban saw it. The Claude community showed up. And for the first time, I felt like this thing I built in my kitchen might actually matter. I'm not a tech founder. I'm a dad who wants to coach little league and be home for dinner. I just happened to build something that helps people. If you're in the trades and thinking about using AI — do it. The barrier isn't technical skill. It's believing you're allowed to try. EVchargeright.com
