Someone asked me why I always wear made-in-Nigeria clothes, regardless of where I am or the occasion. The answer is that Nigeria made me, and therefore, it is my distinct joy to return the favour. There is nobody, no money, and no place on Earth that is important enough to make me drop my culture, for one that is not mine. My name, accent, dressing and behaviour must reflect the best of Nigeria at all times. Nigeria yesterday. Nigeria today. Nigeria forever!

My Thoughts On Arsenal's Victory At the time I took this photo in London, I used to avoid going out whenever Arsenal was playing a match. Why? Because one day in 2002, I was out and about, and Arsenal had won. Believe it or not, many White Londoners mistook me for Nwankwo Kanu. They would carry me up. Some drunk Arsenal fans even attempted to kiss me on the cheek! Yuck! I thought to myself, what would have happened to me if Arsenal had lost that day? Wouldn't these guys have beaten me up in a case of mistaken identity? To a drunk football fan, Kanu and I would have appeared indistinguishable, especially as we both had cornrows at that time. Arsenal winning the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years is noteworthy and celebratory. In fact, it is almost miraculous. We can learn a thing or two about resilience from Micro Arteta and his team. But do a self assessment of the way you celebrated now that Arsenal has finally won. Have you ever celebrated your friends like that when they win? Or your family? Arsenal is an English Premier League team that you only have a sentimental attachment to. You have no financial stake in the team other than your enthusiasm as a football fan. Yet, you have been, understandably, happy since yesterday. But are you this joyful when those around you, to whom you are connected by blood or by bond, win something? If your friends bought a car and are deliriously happy, some of us who now celebrate Arsenal will say, 'Is he the first person to buy a car?' Or am I lying? Let's normalise celebrating the wins of those close to us, not just those of football teams thousands of miles away! And we should also try to promote our own Nigeria Premier Football League by having similar celebrations when Nigerian clubs pull of stunning victories. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Threatening The President and Insulting The NSA Over el-Rufa'i's Self Admitted Hacking Is a Mistake! On the issue of the el-Rufa'i family making threats against the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and in particular, one of his sons calling the National Security Adviser a liar, I take particular umbrage with that, and will not stand idly by while this family attempts to revise history. First of all, this is not the first time Malam Nasir el-Rufa'i has been suspected of hacking. Please fact-check me: In 2020, after Nasir el-Rufa'i had made public statements calling certain individuals ethnic bigots, I wrote in my Thisday column, #TheAlternative, that Nasir el-Rufa'i had sent me an email in which Southern Nigerian women were called cheap "whores". Immediately after that Thisday column was published, my email accounts were subjected to the full force of the most aggressive hacking attempts available at the time. What saved my privacy was that I had initiated two-factor authentication on my email accounts. The fact that this sophisticated attempt at hacking my email accounts, which continued over several days, came IMMEDIATELY after I exposed Malam Nasir el-Rufa'i's bigotry was a coincidence that I was not prepared to accept. I sent the email where Southern Nigerian women were thus referenced to my lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, SAN. Eventually, Malam Nasir el-Rufa'i sued me, and I floored him in court, and his case was thrown out. Truth is a most potent defence! So, for Mr el-Rufa'i's son, who is the same scion who mocked the disappearance of Abubakar Idris, also known as Dadiyata, and justified it on Monday, December 23, 2019, to disrespect Malam Nuhu Ribadu now, I will not take it lying down. I have a Master's in Law from England, and for the avoidance of doubt, let me again inform the el-Rufa'is that tapping a phone call without a court order is a crime. Admitting to it on live television is a callous, flippant act by a man accustomed to impunity. Confessing that you were an accessory after the fact of the illegal tapping of a call is an open and shut case of your own culpability. A family that retributive justice is visiting should be less arrogant and more circumspect in their public utterances. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller. Dear Asari Dokubo, You may recall that I called you privately about this issue three years ago. I physically went to Chicago State University on Monday, September 19, 2022. I verified directly from the horse's mouth and with pictorial and other documentary evidence that then-candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu was admitted, attended lectures, passed examinations, and graduated from CSU. Even though that revelation was against my political interests, I released a video and a press statement which was published by the Nigerian and international media. This was followed by my publication of a document presented to me by Chicago State University verifying the bona fides of then-candidate Tinubu. I also granted interviews affirming that fact five months before the 2023 election. I was the first person to verify that fact physically, and after I published my findings, the British Broadcasting Corporation ran a report vindicating those findings. After Chicago, I proceeded to Peru to investigate this claim you just made against Peter Obi. I went to the women's prison in Lima, Peru, with a witness who is still alive and a video camera. I also visited authorities in that country, and confirmed that the story that Peter Obi is a drug baron who sponsored a female drug mule to Peru, and that the girl was arrested, tried, and implicated him during her trial is false. I also granted an interview to Arise TV right from Cusco, Peru. This was on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. I thereafter called you on the phone and told you not to make the allegation anymore, because it was not true, and it is morally wrong to accuse a man of a crime he is innocent of. You may recall that you agreed with me. As we approach the 2027 election, please can we all refrain from recycling these allegations, which I have already debunked. I spent my money and time to establish the facts. Nobody gave me a dime. I did this because of patriotism and commitment to justice, even when it is against my political interests. So it is rather disconcerting to see these allegations being recycled. Nigeria first. Always! Thank you, and may God bless you. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller. No matter where you are on Earth, teach your children to love Nigeria. Give them lovely, authentically Nigerian names. Speak your mother tongue to them. Tell them stories of great Nigerian heroes like Nana of Itsekiri, Oba Ovonramwen Nogbaisi, Amina of Zazzau, and Jaja of Opobo. Your children are not Oyibo. And Oyibo are not better than you or your ancestors. You and your children are proud Black Africans from Nigeria, a great country that had the largest man-made Earth structure ever built (The Walls of Benin), and the second oldest vessel ever to be discovered on Earth (The Dufuna Canoe), as well as great craftsmen who were smelting bronze one thousand years ago in Ifẹ̀ and had streetlights in ancient Benin 500 years ago! Dear Dike, Thank you for your feedback. Both the names Nigeria and Biafra are of European origin. Nigeria, as a word, was coined by Miss Flora Shaw, then a correspondent of The Times of London, and it is a conflation of two words, Niger and Area. Nigeria basically means Niger Area. Miss Shaw later married Frederick Lugard, the man Britain used to amalgamate the Protectorate of Southern Nigeria and Northern Nigeria into one Nigeria on January 1, 1914. The word Biafra originated with the Portuguese in the 15th century. It is not an African word. The exact etymology of the word is a conflation of the Portuguese word for Bight (Baía) and the name of the sailor believed to have first discovered the coastline (Efraim, which is Portuguese for Ephraim). Thus, Biafra is actually Baía Efraim! While it may have been used earlier, its first cartographic use was by the Dutch cartographer Abraham Ortelius, who drew on descriptions provided by Portuguese sailors. Biafra is actually a Bight, or a coastline, that refers not only to parts of modern-day Nigeria but also to parts of the Cameroons and the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe, amongst other territories. Now, Dike, whereas the word Nigeria was coined by Miss Shaw for the country (then made up of two protectorates) that is now Nigeria, the term Biafra was never created for a country. It originated as the name of a coastline that included several countries. It was not until Lt. Colonel Ojukwu attempted to secede from Nigeria, following the unfortunate series of events triggered by the January 15, 1966 coup by Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna and Chukwuma Nzeogwu, that an Ijaw man named Frank Opigo, from present-day Bayelsa, suggested the name Biafra as a name for the breakaway Eastern Region of Eastern Nigeria. I, as an Itsekiri, and my people, were NEVER a part of that breakaway region. We were first in the Western Region, and later, after the Midwest Region was created to weaken Chief Awolowo, we were part of the Midwest. And even when the breakaway country of Biafra invaded the Mid-West Region on August 9, 1967, we fought against them, which resulted in the deaths of over a thousand of our people. In essence, Dike, we FOUGHT to remain Nigerians. We are LOYAL subjects of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. So, Dike, God never made me or even you a Biafran. God created you and I as human beings. Our forefathers were given this nation, custom-named Nigeria by the British. As for Biafra, it is not a name exclusive to the geographical area now known as Nigeria. Cameroonians and people from São Tomé and Príncipe have as much right to it. It was the name for a coastline and was never intended as the name for a country. As a matter of fact, the same Portuguese who named the coastline Biafra, also named Cameroon, which means Shrimp in Portuguese, and São Tomé and Príncipe, which just means Saint Thomas and Prince in Portuguese. I hold this clears up your misconception. Thanks again, and may God bless you. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller. Be careful about the wife you marry. She will largely determine the type of young man your son will be and the type of old man you become. The survival of a boy into adulthood depends more on his mother than on any other human being. And the survival of a married man into old age is affected more by his spouse than by anyone in his house. If you want to die well, you must start by marrying well! #RenosNuggets

Dear Oluwatosin, Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it. On the specific issue you raised, can you please watch the video again, and this time be very attentive? What exactly did I say after tasting the tere siga (red meat)? Don't you hear me saying "I've been missing all my life?" I note from your previous posts that you are a remarkable human with quite a distinctive analytical thinking capacity. Perhaps the statement I made should tell you something. I am not sure a regular red meat eater would make such a statement. Why would I be missing something I regularly consume? Let me add, however, that in March of this year, in preparation for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, my doctor advised me to increase my iron intake to prevent sudden death. There is no year that people do not die on Kilimanjaro. As a result, I consumed 200 grams of kilishi daily as I ascended the mountain. I broke my rule for that climb because Mount Kilimanjaro is very low in oxygen, and iron increases your body's oxygen-carrying capacity. Thanks again, and may God bless you. Dear Punch Newspaper @MobilePunch, This report is fallacious. I was surprised to see it on your platform. It prompted me to call the Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, to find out why you would report such a state of affairs. I have neither withdrawn nor been disqualified. These are very fluid times, and it would be in the best interest of journalistic excellence to exercise caution and verification, rather than utilise speed in your reportage. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

If You Plan To Spend 6 Months On The Job Preparing, It Means You Are Preparing For More Than One Term! A leader who is prepared to lead will tour Nigerian states BEFORE he is elected. He will not wait until AFTER he is elected to tour the country. You only have four years in a term. You can't prepare to be President while you are President. You have to plan before you become President so that when you do become President, you can hit the ground running. President Bola Tinubu visited EVERY state in Nigeria multiple times BEFORE he became President. A person who admits they would spend their first 180 days visiting Nigerian states is also conceding that they are not ready for the job they so desperately seek. When will you pick and swear in your cabinet, inaugurate the National Assembly, appoint your Service Chiefs and the National Security Council, as well as the Economic Management Team? At what point will you put in place management teams for the Central Bank of Nigeria, the NNPCL, and the NLNG, and ultimately reform the system? There is a reason Presidents all over the world mark the anniversary of their first 100 days in office: it sets the tone for the remaining days of the four-year term. To paraphrase the Lukumi-Yoruba, if you spend 180 days preparing for madness, then for how long will you be mad? The only logical conclusion is that you are planning to do more than one term of four years! It makes no sense for the President of a country in need of Foreign Direct Investment to remain in his own country. He must engage in economic diplomacy to attract FDI to his country. And, as a direct result of President Tinubu's foreign travels, the following investments have been attracted to Nigeria: $500 Million APM Terminal Investment $20 Billion Shell BP Deepwater Project $500 Million Ubeta Gas Project $2.5 Billion JBS Meat Processing Plant To mention a few. This influx of FDI and FPI into Nigeria is driving the expansion of the Nigerian capital market. On Friday, December 30, 2022, the total market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange stood at ₦27.915 trillion. Today, it is ₦122 trillion. Almost five times what it was before President Tinubu was elected. It is pedestrian for anybody to criticise President Tinubu's foreign travels when you consider the benefits to Nigeria, and I urge prominent Nigerians to be circumspect in their public utterances about our nation's economy. Think about anyone you owe money to. Do you have positive thoughts concerning them? No. The thought of them generates anxiety in you. If your phone rings and it is them, your heart may skip a beat. You avoid their calls and evade them in real life. You pretend not to see their messages. Nobody likes their lender. And that is why you should not lend money to people you love. By making them indebted to you, you will slowly but surely make them hate you. Tell them no. Their initial disappointment is better than the maleficial resentment that can last a lifetime. #RenosNuggets

Why The Spiritual Frequency of Lukumi-Yoruba Music Created The Greatest Artistes on Earth Music is beyond sound. The key thing about music, which makes it appeal to you beyond even your conscious awareness, is something called frequency, which is the vibratory pattern of melodies that unlock your auditory senses and put you under a spell that you cannot resist on a conscious level. And few musical instruments can unlock the precise frequencies that create such an effect in humans as the percussive instruments of Lukumi-Yoruba music. Are you aware Michael Jackson did not reach the musical level he did until he incorporated Lukumi-Yoruba frequencies into his music? I'll prove it to you. Mr. Jackson achieved global superstardom with the Off the Wall album. Music critics worldwide wrote that there was something different about the rhythmic arrangement of that album. They could not pin it down. What they could not pin down was that that album was the first time Michael Jackson worked with the then almost unknown Brazilian percussionist Paulinho da Costa. For those who do not know Paulinho da Costa (that's him in the attached photo), you may want to Google him. He is a Brazilian, from Rio de Janeiro, with Lukumi-Yoruba roots, dating back to the Trans-Atlantic trade in enslaved people, who plays percussive instruments of Lukumi-Yoruba origin, such as the Conga and Surdo drums, which trace back to Lukumi-Yoruba drums, including the talking drum, or gangan, which was not just a musical instrument. It was also a local Lukumi war/music instrument. That instrument is the origin of the Lukumi-Yoruba slang, 'gangan', which is now commonly used in both Lukumi and Nigerian Pidgin English. That conga drum is very prominent in the tracks 'Working Day and Night', and '"Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough', from the Off The Wall album, and in the songs, 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' and 'Thriller' from Michael Jackson's Thriller album. Mr. Dacosta has famously boasted that every artiste for whom he played those instruments has gone on to become the biggest entertainers in the world, including Michael Jackson and Madonna. If you listen to Madonna's La Isla Bonita, before any other musical instrument, the first thing you will hear for the first six seconds of that track is Paulinho Dacosta playing the bongo drum, which is another variation of the talking drum, or gangan. In the video of La Isla Bonita, Paulinho Dacosta even appears before Madonna herself! Michael Jackson later used the Lukumi Yoruba talking drums in his song "They Don't Care About Us" from the 1995 History album. They were played by a Brazilian collective of musicians called Olodumare, which they shortened to Olodum. That same percussive frequency is the reason music of Lukumi-Yoruba origin, AKA Afrobeat, is the fastest-growing genre of music on Earth today. When Asake came up, people said he could not crossover because he sang in Lukumi-Yoruba. It is not about language. It is frequency! If you listen to an Asake song like Fuji Vibe, it makes you want to move as though you understand what he sings. And that is what the musicology of the Yoruba language does to the human spirit. And that is why Asake fills stadia in Europe and America with White Anglo-Saxons. For every decade of Nigeria’s existence as an independent nation, the music of Lukumi-Yoruba origin has dominated our airwaves, and now it is dominating the world. Bobby Benson dominated the 60s Abami Fela Kuti the 70s Sunny Ade and Obey the 80s Sir Shina Peters and K1 the 90s. Lagbaja the 2000s. D’Banja the 2010s. Davido, Wizkid, Asake, and Burna Boy are dominating now. Many people do not know that Don Jazzy's deep roots in the Aladura movement, where he was a child prodigy, are what make him a musical genius today. He was brought up in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, which, like no other organisation on Earth, understands the spiritual frequencies of Lukumi Yoruba percussive instruments.

Lake Chad Basin Joint Military Operation: Thank You, President Tinubu, for Making Nigeria Safer I commend His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, for the successful joint military operation between the gallant officers and men and women of the Nigerian Armed Forces, in conjunction with US Forces, that led to the neutralisation of a globally most wanted terror kingpin and Islamic State leader, Abu-Bilal Al-Manuki, also known as Abu-Mainok, along with several of his lynchpins, in the Lake Chad Region. Mr. President, you have made Nigeria and the Sahel much safer through your leadership and the effective implementation of your directives by Nigeria's military leadership. Nigeria under this government has become a bastion for democracy, law and order, good governance, and the victory of good over evil. This is a reality that ought to be celebrated by all patriots. Therefore, I urge leaders, like Waziri Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Rotimi Amaechi, and others, to encourage and motivate our Armed Forces by acknowledging this significant feat, and extending the right hand of fellowship to the Tinubu administration as the Federal Government of Nigeria fulfils its Constitutional mandate of making Nigeria safe and great again. It is in-statemanship to release copious statements and make denouncing utterances when terrorists strike, thereby negatively affecting the morale of our troops and giving these marauders the oxygen of publicity, which they crave, yet go silent when our valiant soldiers deal mortal blows to these enemies of our country. We have no other nation but Nigeria, and we must all work in unison to ensure that Nigeria prevails over the forces of anarchy. May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. May God bless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller.
