Fact Check: INDIAN RAW-LINKED GANG BUSTED IN CANADA
Indian media outlet News18 falsely attempted to portray the criminal network dismantled in Canada as Pakistani-linked while the facts say otherwise. Even Times of India confirms that the 17 individuals arrested are Indians, with Canadian police publicly releasing their names and operational details.
The official Peel Regional Police investigation confirms 17 Indian-origin individuals arrested, 106 charges laid and links to 24 extortion, arson and shooting attacks targeting South Asian businesses with 324 spent shell casings recovered.
This case once again raises serious concerns over the nexus between India’s notorious intelligence agency RAW and overseas coercive criminal networks using intimidation, extortion and violence driven pressure tactics.
Canadian authorities have already publicly confirmed India-linked covert operations on Canadian soil, including the killing of Sikh leaders.
