Aaron Judge started 2024 2-for-16 with 6 Ks in the season opening series in Houston. He was hitting .197 as late as May 2 - MAY 2 - of that year. He ended the season hitting .322 with 58 homers, 144 RBIs and a 1.159 OPS. Apparently this season is over for him after 7 ABs...

@cooItimes @pamsson I’m not saying wins and losses don’t matter, but stats? Five at-bats out of 600+ is no way to assess someone. Remember when Juan Soto had three homers, 12 RBI and a .752 OPS at the end of last April? He finished with 43 and 105, a .921 OPS and came in third in NL MVP voting.

@pamsson Also, can we stop citing Jeter’s WBC comment? Salvador Perez was one of the guys who said winning the WBC was bigger to him than the World Series.. and he has a ring. I don’t believe it personally, but for players from other countries, I believe it may be the case.

The new french dip at Citi Field. The peppercorn crusted beef is fine but rhe caramelized onions are cloyingly sweet. I like the boursin horseradish. The au jus was good but extremely cold (?). Wish the onion ciabatta was crustier. Worst of all, it's 28 AMERICAN DOLLARS. 4.5/10
