We came with solutions. We came with solidarity. We came with a commitment to transform systems that continue to fail women and girls across Africa. 💖✊🏾 This is not the end—it’s momentum. The conversations continue, the movement grows stronger, and the work for justice carries on. And we’re only getting started. 🔥 #FEMNETatWD2026 #WD2026

As the Women Deliver Conference 2026 comes to a close, Africa showed up with power, purpose, and bold feminist vision. ✨🌍 From demanding feminist financing for gender justice, to amplifying youth-led leadership, centering care economies, and strengthening movement solidarity—our voices were loud, clear, and impossible to ignore. #FEMNETatWD2026 #WD2026

That’s a wrap on the 12th Session of the Africa Regional Forum on Sustainable Development in Addis Ababa 🇪🇹 A few days of being in rooms where people were speaking honestly, challenging each other, and sharing what’s working (and what isn’t). We contributed, we listened, we learned, and we found ourselves in conversation with both new and familiar faces. Spaces like this remind us that the work is collective, and the momentum is shared. #ZamaraVoices #12ARFSD

The Global Learning Hub for women voice and leadership partnership convened along the sidelines of Women Deliver 2026. The hub will co-create a feminist multilingual Global Learning Hub that is going beyond knowledge sharing to actively shape how feminist movements are learning adapting and sustaining themselves over time. This movement driven space will not just document change but will actively fuel it by centering the lived realities, strategies and resistance of Women Rights Organisations across the Global South. #FEMNETatWD2026 #WD2026

📢 CALL TO ACTION: ✴️Governments must invest in public care systems that enable SRHR access ✴️Donors must fund integrated SRHR and care economy approaches ✴️Civil society must push for recognition, redistribution, and reduction of unpaid care work ✴️Movements must connect SRHR advocacy to economic justice frameworks Because without care economies, SRHR remains incomplete. And without SRHR, care economies are unjust. #WD2026 #FEMNETatWD2026

Key reflections from the conversation included: ✍️Unpaid care work continues to limit access to SRHR services for women and girls ✍️Health systems remain underfunded, while care burdens are feminized and invisible ✍️Economic justice is inseparable from bodily autonomy and reproductive justice ✍️Climate, conflict, and debt crises are deepening SRHR inequalities across Africa #FEMNETatWD2026 #WD2026

🔥 What does power look like when it refuses to be silenced? It looks like #HerPower. A story carved from struggle, resilience, and the quiet revolution of women and girls who refuse to be defined by limits placed on them. This is not just a film—you don’t just watch it. You feel it. You carry it. You question everything after it. 🎬 Press play and witness strength in its most human, unfiltered form: 👉 youtube.com/watch?v=-uYqpv… Because when her voice rises, the world shifts. #HerPower #FEMNETatWD2026

“Special Drawing Rights (SDRs) must become instruments of feminist justice in Africa. In times of health crisis, these resources should be rapidly redirected to strengthen public health systems, protect #SRHR, and invest in the care economy—because women and girls bear the heaviest burden. Recovery is not real if women are left behind, and care work remains invisible and underfunded.” — Memory Kachambwa #FEMNETatWD2026 #SRHRDialogue

“Debt2Health swaps are not just financing tools—they are feminist innovations for justice. They create an opportunity for African governments to redirect debt repayments into women’s health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), and the care economy where the real work of sustaining societies happens.” — Memory Kachambwa, Executive Director @FemnetProg #FEMNETatWD2026

📍At the sidelines of the #WD2026 Conference, FEMNET is driving the conversation on Feminist Innovation to Finance SRHR—reimagining how debt, resources, and policy can work for women and girls. 💜 From Debt2Health swaps to investing in Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and the care economy, feminist financing means moving beyond aid to justice, accountability, and sustainable systems that center women’s lives and labour. Because funding women is not optional—it is essential. #FEMNETatWD2026 #SRHRDialogues
