Hey you, That constant fidgeting, short attention span, and frequent tantrums your child is showing might not just be “bad behaviour.” It could be the result of prolonged screen exposure. Take that screen away today and limit their exposure

This is to new and incoming Students in the UK 🇬🇧 don’t overlook Band 2 NHS roles, as well as service assistants, volunteer and ward assistant positions. They are very important over the next 7–8 months before you start to run around for COS😞 You’ll often get first-hand information about openings before they go public, and you’ll stand a better chance of securing band 3-4 roles with your knowledge and experience. I say let me remind you.

Here are practical, proven tips to pass your HGV (LGV) theory test in the UK first time. The test is part of Driver CPC Module 1 and includes multiple-choice questions, hazard perception, and case studies. Test Format (Know What You’re Facing) • Multiple-choice: 100 questions, 85 correct to pass (85%), 1 hour 15 minutes. Covers road signs, regulations, vehicle handling, driver hours, etc. • Hazard perception: 19 video clips (one with two hazards), need 67/100. Score higher by clicking early on developing hazards. • Case studies: Real-life scenarios with questions (usually 40/50 to pass). National pass rates hover around 50-60% for theory elements, but consistent practice pushes many to 80-90% success. Top Tips for Multiple-Choice & Case Studies • Use official DVSA materials: Get The Official DVSA Theory Test for Drivers of Large Vehicles book/app and The Official DVSA Guide to Driving Goods Vehicles. These have the closest questions to the real test. • Practice, practice, practice: Do full mock tests repeatedly. Apps or online platforms with DVSA-licensed questions are ideal. Flag wrong answers, review the topic, and redo them. Many pass by hammering mocks until they score 95%+ consistently. • Revise little and often: 30-60 minutes daily for 1-2 weeks beats cramming. Focus on weak areas like driver hours, tyre depths, stopping distances, and load security. • Understand, don’t just memorise: Case studies test application and think “What would I do in this HGV situation?” • Read questions fully: Rushing leads to silly mistakes. Hazard Perception Tips • Click as soon as you see a developing hazard (something that could force you to change speed/direction, e.g A pedestrian stepping out, a car pulling out). Early clicks score higher. • Don’t over-click or random-click: Too many clicks (especially rapid ones) can score zero on a clip. Aim for 2-3 thoughtful clicks per hazard. • Practice clips daily: Use official DVSA hazard tools or good apps. Watch for subtle cues like changing road signs, brake lights, or cyclists. • Common strategy: Some use double-click or 3-click methods (click when potential hazard appears, again as it develops). Test what works in mocks. • Get good rest — alertness matters here. General Prep Advice • Book both parts (multiple-choice + hazard) on the same day if possible via gov.uk • Revise with a mix of book, app, and videos (plenty of free/cheap YouTube full mock sessions). • On test day: Stay calm, hydrated, read everything carefully. You can flag and review questions. Many new HGV drivers who treat it seriously (even with years of car driving) pass first time with 1-2 weeks focused prep.
