A Focus Exercise is a lift you choose to keep showing up in your plan for several weeks. Fitbod uses Focus Exercises to make that specific lift a regular part of your training, then it adjusts the reps and weight over time as part of a structured progression. #Fitbod

@FitbodApp not sure how feasible this feature would be, but would there be hopes for following friend’s workouts? I’m just trying to make it easier for my group of friends to hold everyone accountable for working out. And if we could follow each other, and see when they log a workout and what workout consisted of, I think that’d be a great feature 🙏🏾 Any hope in the near future?

We analyzed 500,000+ lifters to find the #1 predictor of whether someone sticks to their training long-term. 🔬 It's not will power. Not motivation. It's not equipment or time constraints. 🤔 It's what you do in your first 28 days. 📆 A new study using Fitbod data found that user consistency in the first 28 days was the strongest predictor of long-term exercise adherence - outperforming age, sex, and experience level. 🏆 Start early on. Build the habit. The results will follow. 🔄 🔗 Link in bio to get started. #fitbod #fitbodapp #consistency #longtermtraining #bestaifitnessapp #bestaifitness #machinelearningfitness #weightlifting #exercisescience #fitnessjourney #personalizedstrengthtraining

5 things that happen to your body after you log your first strength training workout 📝 1️⃣ Your muscles get a new stimulus: Lifting puts your muscles under tension and challenges them in a new way. 🏎️ 2️⃣ Your nervous system starts learning: Your body begins getting better at coordinating movement and recruiting the right muscles. ⚖️ 3️⃣ Recovery begins: After the very first workout, your body starts repairing tissue and adapting to the new training stress. 💪 4️⃣ Soreness shows up 24-48 hours later: You might feel DOMS or Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness a day or two after training - especially if it’s your first time. Stay hydrated and keep bananas on-hand to help support recovery. 🍌 5️⃣ Your progress officially begins: When you log that first workout in Fitbod, the app starts using your training history and muscle recovery data to help shape future recommendations. 📈 Your first workout is more than a starting point. It’s the first signal that tells your body, and your training plan, to start adapting. #fitbod #fitbodapp #strengthtraining #personalizedstrengthtrainingapp #betsaifitnessapp #bestaifitness #machinelearningfitness #weightlifiting #fitness

Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting are often grouped together, but they’re two very different strength sports. ▶️ Olympic Weightlifting focuses on two highly technical lifts: the snatch and the clean & jerk. The goal is also to lift the most weight possible, but with far more speed, timing, mobility, coordination, and precision. ▶️ Powerlifting is built around maximal strength in three lifts: the squat, bench press, and deadlift. The goal is to lift the most weight possible through controlled, efficient movement. What the biggest difference? 🤔 Powerlifting tests your ability to produce maximal force in slower, less velocity-dependent lifts while Olympic Weightlifting tests your ability to move heavy loads quickly and efficiently through explosive patterns. ⚡ Olympic Weightlifting = power, speed, and technical precision 🏋️‍♀️ Powerlifting = maximal strength Both can build serious strength, athleticism, body awareness, and confidence under the bar. Whether your goal is getting stronger, moving more explosively, or simply understanding your training better, knowing the difference can help you train smarter. 💡 💪 #fitbod #fitbodapp #powerlifting #strengthtraining #weightlifting #machinelearningfitness #bestaifitness #bestaifitness #adaptivefitness #personalizedfitness #OlympicWeightlifting #Powerlifting #snatch #cleanandjerk #squat #benchpress #deadlift #strengthsports #fitnesstraining #athlete

Dreading the first workout? Waiting for the right time to start? Afraid of using a new machine in public? First workout friction is a thing. 😣 Don’t aim for perfection. If you're feeling the friction, aim for 1 logged exercise. - 1 lift ✅ - 1 stretch ✅ - 1 machine ✅ - 1 weight ✅ - 1 minute ✅ - 1 step forward ✅ That first session is the starting point, the more you log, the more you change your future. Fitbod can take you there. 💪 👉 Check out our individual how-to videos to over 1,000 machines, stretches, and lift exercises in the app today. #Fitbod #fitbodapp #bestaifitness #strengthtraining #bestaifitnessapp #weightlifting #fitness #machinelearningfitness

Most people talk about longevity in terms of lifespan. 🥗 But there is another metric that matters: strengthspan. 💪 One overlooked benefit of strength training is that it helps you keep the muscle, strength, and function that make everyday life easier later on. 💡 That is where consistency comes in. In 2025 alone, Fitbod generated 56 million workout recommendations that incorporated each user’s goal, experience level, workout duration, split, available equipment, and muscle recovery-related inputs. As users logged their performance, Fitbod adapted sets, reps, and weight recommendations over time. In practice, that means less guesswork, smarter progression, and a sustainable strength training program that evolves with our community. This is how we support consistency, year after year. 🔄 Fitbod supports the habits, progression, and consistency that help people stay stronger, more functional, and more active over time. Aging well is not just about lifespan - it is about strengthspan. 💛 #fitbod #fitbodapp #machinelearningfitness #bestaifitness #bestaifitnessapp #strengthspan #longevity #strengthtraining

Quick check: when you’re short on time, are you choosing supersets or circuits? 👇 💥 Supersets = 2 exercises back-to-back. 💥 Circuits = 3+ exercises in sequence. How do you know which to choose? Supersets and circuits are training structures that increase workout density by reducing rest between exercises, both keep sessions efficient. These structures can help: 1️⃣ Increase pace 2️⃣ Improve time efficiency 3️⃣ Raise the cardiovascular demand of a session without changing the core exercises themselves Fitbod groups these formats when you want to keep sessions moving, fit more work into less time, or add a conditioning element to your strength training. And when equipment matches, Fitbod can normalize weight in some supersets and circuits to make transitions more practical. 💡 That's smarter strength training. 💯 #fitbod #fitbodapp #smarterstrengthtraining #machinelearningfitness #bestaifitness #bestaifitnessapp #supersets #fitness #strengthtraining

What changes when you switch goals in Fitbod? More than most people think. 🤔 Your goal helps shape the style of workout Fitbod builds for you including: 👉 rep ranges 👉 exercise selection 👉 workout intensity 👉 volume 👉 cardio emphasis. But that's not the only factor, Fitbod also adapts using your: 💪 logged workout history 💪 muscle recovery 💪 available equipment 💪 experience level 💪 workout duration 💪 workout preferences. Here’s the quick cheat sheet on Fitbod's goals: 1️⃣ Build Muscle / Hypertrophy = moderate reps, moderate-to-higher volume, and a mix of compound and isolation work to support muscle growth 2️⃣ Get Lean = higher reps, shorter rests, and more conditioning- or circuit-style training 3️⃣ Get Stronger / Strength Training = heavier weights, lower reps, longer rest, with more emphasis on compound lifting 4️⃣ Reduce Bodyweight = more total energy expenditure, often with more volume and/or cardio, while still keeping resistance training in the plan 5️⃣ Improve Fitness = a more balanced mix of strength, endurance, and overall fitness 6️⃣ Practice Powerlifting = more focus on the bench, squat, and deadlift, plus accessory work that supports those lifts 7️⃣ Practice Olympic Weightlifting = more focus on explosive lifts like the snatch, clean, and jerk, along with strength and technique support work When you change goals, you’re not only changing the name of the program - you’re recalibrating the training recommendations used to build your future workouts. 🧬 Log your workouts consistently, and Fitbod will keep adapting personalized recommendations over time to help you reach your goals. 🏋️ #fitbod #fitbodapp #hypertrophy #strengthtraining #bestaifitnessapp #machinelearningfitness #weightlifting #powerlifting #fitness #personalizedstrengthtraining #workout #fitnessgoals

Most fitness apps have you log your workout. RiR helps Fitbod understand how hard your last set actually was. RiR or Reps in Reserve is the number of reps you still had left before failure. So if you finish your last set and feel like you had 2 more reps in the tank, that’s 2 RiR. 🏋️‍♀️ But why? 🤔 👉 Logging RiR gives Fitbod better context for adjusting your future weight, reps, and overall workout intensity with more accuracy. Smarter input = smarter recommendations. 💪 #fitbod #fitbodapp #machinelearningfitness #bestaifitness #rir #repsinreserve #strengthtraining #resistancetraining

Muscle protein synthesis (MPS) is how your body repairs and builds muscle after training. 💪 To support muscle synthesis, you need the right stimulus from strength training, enough recovery between sessions, and consistency over time. More isn’t always better. The goal is to challenge muscles, recover well, and come back ready to train again. 🏋️ That’s where we come in. Fitbod supports muscle synthesis by helping you: 1️⃣ Train with the right level of resistance and volume 2️⃣ Apply progressive overload over time 3️⃣ Balance workouts with muscle recovery 4️⃣ Stay consistent with a plan tailored to your goals Instead of guessing what to train next, Fitbod uses your training history and recovery status to guide your next workout so you can keep giving your muscles a productive reason to adapt. 💡 👉 Smart training supports recovery. 📈 👉 Recovery supports muscle protein synthesis. 💪 👉 Consistency is what drives progress. 🏆 #MuscleProteinSynthesis #StrengthTraining #Recovery #ProgressiveOverload #Fitbod #fitbodapp #bestaifitnessapp #aifitness #machinelearningfitness

March’s most-logged Fitbod exercises prove that real progress comes from returning to what works. What exercises led the pack? ▶️ Dumbbell Bicep Curl —> logged 384,356 times ▶️ Lat Pulldown —> logged 344,334 times ▶️ Hammer Curls —> logged 325,226 times ▶️ Dumbbell Bench Press —> logged 292,038 times ▶️ Dumbbell Shoulder Press —> logged 287,969 times These classic movements stay on top for a reason: they build strength, reinforce good training habits, and create the foundation for long-term results. Trends may come and go, but the basics keep moving people forward. Which exercise carried your workouts last month? #fitbod #fitbodapp

Does Zone 2 matter if your main goal is getting stronger? Yes. For lifters, Zone 2 matters because it builds aerobic capacity. And when cardio + lifting are programmed well, you can improve conditioning without automatically sacrificing strength or muscle. Bottom line: • Lift for strength. 💪 • Use Zone 2 to support the engine. ❤️ How do you know if you're in Zone 2? ▶️ Perceived Exertion: On a scale of 1–10, 10 being most intense, Zone 2 feels like a 4 or 5. ▶️ Nasal Breathing: You can maintain your breathing entirely through your nose without needing to gasp for air. ▶️ Sustained heart rate is around 60-70% max Save this for your next cardio day. 🚲 #fitbod #fitbodapp #zone2cardio #strengthtraining #machinelearningfitness

Crunches don’t burn belly fat - that’s not how fat loss works. ⛔ You can strengthen your abs, but you can’t choose where your body loses fat first, last, or in between. Fat loss happens across the body over time, not from doing endless exercises on one specific area or muscle group. 💪 ✅ If your goal is a stronger core, ab work helps. ✅ If your goal is losing body fat, focus on the big picture: strength training, overall activity, nutrition, recovery, and consistency. Abs are trained. Fat loss is systemic. 💡 Build muscle. Support the habits. Let results compound. 📈 #fitbod #fitbodapp #strengthtraining #fitnessjourney #machinelearningfitness #bestaifitnessapp #beststrengthtrainingapp
