Kenya’s recent political experiences show the need for structured dialogue and peaceful youth engagement. This forum empowers young people to engage across differences while rejecting violence, hate speech and extremism.

Digital platforms have expanded participation but have also intensified echo chambers, misinformation and intolerance, deepening divisions across political and social lines.

Polarisation, radicalisation and extremist narratives pose a growing challenge to democratic cohesion, particularly among young people who are increasingly active in political discourse.

Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Kenya, together with @TheUstawi_ke and the Inter-Party Youth Forum (IPYF), are supporting youth-led dialogue to strengthen national cohesion and democratic engagement to counter political polarisation, radicalisation and extremism. @IPYF
