@elonmusk Freedom of speech only means something if you speak the truth, otherwise it’s just freedom to lie, misinform or mislead , for whatever end and if there is no accountability, then there is no truth.

Freedom of speech is the bedrock of democracy. If the truth is suppressed, it is impossible to make an informed voting decision. The degree to which freedom of speech is being undermined around the world is extremely alarming.

@Culture_Crit Empty churches are not unique to the city of London, a once populous square mile, walled city, saw that population disappear with the invention of the steam train. The COE does a remarkable job keeping all these spaces in good condition with so few residents left in the city.

One soul-crushing example from London - the 17th century Church of Saint Mary Aldermary, designed by Sir Christopher Wren no less.
