@foster_ious @bernardtjoy I know but I’m lumping Dune in because it’s part of the American studio system.

People tell me Villeneuve's Dune trilogy, once completed, will be one of the great trilogies in film history. But I just can't imagine a great trilogy spawning from such a poor first instalment.

Hot takes. War is a distraction from humanity's true purpose. Politics is supposed to serve humanity. When it does not, we have a system out of balance. Media is supposed to speak the truth to all of these systems. When it does not, it is failing. Faith should be a storehouse of moral virtue, not a method for empire or financial gain. Business should optimize for human flourishing of all. Not the few. When it does what it does now, we have feudalism. Money is meant to be a system of exchange. Not of power for the few. When used poorly, we get inflation. Energy is meant to power a creative revolution, not create an oligarchy. When it creates an oligarchy, it is not fulfilling its purpose. Disclosure will happen inside you. Not from any government. Something does not want us to focus on consciousness and human potential. Why is that?

Does this mean we're about to have another type of Industrial Revolution?

This goes along with your other tweet about people pretending American cinema is good. Dune was fine by today’s standards. Not at all what it could have been. I always have to qualify newer mainstream “auteurs” as *comparatively* good. And major blockbusters like Dune are subpar because they have to write it so it can play to international audiences, the majority of their market.

@bernardtjoy @Fl0atingSign How could it be better? Dune fans and Villeneuve fans are a beautiful convergence. Love it or hate it. I'm sad to hear you had a take they attacked you for!
