“How Discover Works” is a bold statement given the current state of Discover, and truthfully I’m disappointed in the lack of transparency here.
This feels more like a reworded version of the previous Discover blog post with an added section about thumbnails.
It’s time to address the instability creators have been dealing with lately, the lack of meaningful genre and tag-driven browsing, and the inconsistency in how rows are populated when placement often appears disconnected from the metrics being discussed.
For example, creators were told Epic Picks would maintain placement in Homebar, yet since that statement from @FNCreate, the row has repeatedly broken or failed to display anything at all.
At some point, recurring issues stop feeling like isolated bugs and start feeling like a lack of reliability in the system itself.
I’ve tried to give grace and trust that these were growing pains that would improve over time, but the instability is becoming more frequent, not less.
Right now, creator morale is extremely low, players are struggling to discover experiences tailored to their interests, and Browse is far too generic to serve as a meaningful discovery tool when it often surfaces the same content already being pushed through Discover.

We've updated our ‘How Discover Works’ documentation to reflect the recent changes to Discover. It covers how islands are evaluated, key metrics, thumbnail best practices, and where your island can appear. Read it here: fn.gg/fortnite-disco…

@Not_Gilmore @yfcherries It has nothing to do with race and everything to do with corrupt foreign worker programs, but hey if you support modern day slave labour that’s on you. Fucking troons man

@Chhetz @marseckFN Yes I’m sure you spammed alternate versions of your shitter map every week for the love of the game, very unserious people
English

@marseckFN Everyones mentality seems to have switched to just wanting immediate profit since UEFN, you can still create to simply create and get better, invest in the space and your skills

@MadelnCanada If they hire mostly TFWs it will almost certainly fail. The only reason Tim Hortons is still standing is because it’s been around forever and there is nothing comparable.

@GGMJDGG @poopswag34 Audio is crisp
Whole scene is in focus and captured cinematically

@XRA_NY2CA @1Nicdar That line is clearly hyperbole you disingenuous fuck. Yes many “refugees” essentially just show up

@faintghostglow @sugabelly I've read that article, and once again, JPM is multiple major countries in a single company. There has been no indication from the firm that the allegations are false, and I wonder who NYP spoke to, because they seem to do a lot of unsupported and unbacked talking

@BrisaRuiva @1748Munch @DEC4DENCEE You’re not influencing anyone. Other OF creators only follow you to self promote in your comments. Ps get a job
English

@1748Munch @DEC4DENCEE But the female creators buy so much lingerie, I have over 100 different sets of lingerie
Even if just a few women do follow a creator
They are the public that buys more lingerie
Normal women don’t buy as much lingerie as female creators do

@laloloopsy @mcgracias @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom I love my bonnet, use it every night. Wearing sleepwear outside of the house is unbecoming. I think the same thing about the white girl in the Cookie Monster pyjama pants.
English

@foundtwice @mcgracias @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom ur white ass has probably never used a hair bonnet — getting mad at black people for claiming something that white ppl have called ghetto is unbelievably fucking stupid, you trying to call someone a slur over shit you have no business is as well
English

@laloloopsy @mcgracias @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom Yes, they fell out of trend for white people but are actually making a resurgence. Who do you think the $130 Slip silk bonnets are for lol? Just because whites didn’t use them for a period of time doesn’t change the history, and certainly doesn’t disallow us from using them.
English

@foundtwice @mcgracias @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom u act like bonnets were so damn popular in older centuries in european countries yet they simply are not holding anything now when we are discussing modern times and how black people are the main users
English

@laloloopsy @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom What do you mean by “made for black people”? Many brands today are marketed towards black people because they’ve been the primary consumer of these products in modern times, but the concept of wearing your hair in protective headwear is not exclusive to black people
English

@foundtwice @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom the original twt is literally according to hair bonnets made for black ppl, you trying to talk abt europeans with bonnets is not even the same conversation
u changing it just makes no sense ??
English

@mcgracias @laloloopsy @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom I am bitch! Blk ppl believe they are the holy owners of the bonnet (and even go as far as patronizing other ppl when they use it, see original tweet) when in reality wearing bonnets to protect the hair while at rest has historical ties dating back centuries in European countries
English

@foundtwice @laloloopsy @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom literally no one us talking about a bonnets history what r u on ? everyones just explaining why white ppl wear them nobody said anything about bonnet history bro
English

@laloloopsy @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom We’re talking about the bonnet’s history amongst Europeans right now, try to keep up please
English

@foundtwice @vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom what the fuck does that have to do with its use 😭 ur just saying shit that doesn’t correlate to its history with black people
English

Hey @FNCreate, I’d like a response regarding these issues.
After the recent changes, a large percentage of creators either don’t want to or simply can’t update their maps because doing so would require changing their thumbnails.
The sponsored row also feels ineffective. With the latest changes, no matter how much you pay, you’re only getting about a 15% return, which doesn’t make it worthwhile.
On top of that, impressions have dropped significantly due to missing categories. For example, my map went from 100–250K impressions down to just 10–50K.
The new tab doesn’t seem very useful either. Even when a map surpasses others in CCU, it still doesn’t appear in any tab. This makes it extremely difficult for new maps or smaller creators to gain any visibility. They effectively have no chance to grow.
I’d also be interested in seeing stats from last month: how many new maps were published, and how many of them have even 50 ccu now ?
Looking forward to your response.
English

@vivicadolll @Bluecureblossom “Bonnet” is literally a French word you absolute retard.
English

@Bluecureblossom people down here whitesplaining how a bonnet works to a black person now... op i understand you dw
English

@foundtwice @FNCreate @GenesisStudios Oh no! You get XP for... completing deadly games? uncalled for! truly the worst way to break the rules!
the XP in any of the maps are an extra, theyre always added later if we want it to be there. they're NOT there to LURE players into our maps.
English

@lynxtop @FNCreate It’s implied when you work for @GenesisStudios who has many task-based xp systems implemented into their maps. What’s wrong with being awarded xp for certain actions?
English

@foundtwice @FNCreate When the hell did I say i wasn't against any of those?
