What an incredible evening! Ratchet Rockers Team 1706 had a blast visiting Prairie View Elementary for their STREAM Night. We loved sharing our passion for engineering and innovation with so many curious future makers. Meet Riot: Our robot, Riot, was the star of the show! Families got an up-close look at how Riot shot rings and a few lucky students got the chance to take the wheel (or the controller!) and experience what it’s like to operate Riot. Junior Manufacturing: We broke out the mallets and helped students manufacture their very own cardboard shooters and tried some iterating with different sizes of rubber bands. Lego Creativity: From showing off the FLL Robot to letting imaginations run wild at our Lego building table, the creativity was off the charts. While the rest of the Ratchet Rockers are grinding away on our latest build, someone has to handle the "quality control" for the snack station. 🥨 Our Mech on the Deck is guarding the 75¢ snacks and enforcing the Fridge Rules. No shenanigans here, he’s making sure the team stays fueled while we crush our build goals. Our snacks are engineered to keep hunger at bay and power the next great solution. #REBUILT

In the Chill Zone While the shop is buzzing and the tools are cranking, our scouting department is locked in! Check out one of our lead scouts putting the finishing touches on this year's scouting app. Creating a high-performance app requires a high-performance environment, and the blue-light "chill zone" is the perfect place to debug with a cool drink and some bodacious beats. Why is this app a game-changer? Real-time Data Collection: Giving us the edge during alliance selections. Custom Metrics: Designed specifically for this season’s game challenges. User-Friendly: Built so our scouters can track every cycle without missing a beat. High Stakes Speculation: Scouters can "non-gamble" points on their pick to be the winning alliance for each match. Bragging rights for the best scouters!

What started as a long drive home from Enid, Oklahoma turned into something we’ll never forget. This weekend the Ratchet Rockers rolled into the Oklahoma Regional and came out on top — #1 Alliance Captain and Event Champions! 🏆⚙️ The team battled through tough matches, incredible opponents, and a ton of teamwork to earn the win. But the best moment might have been the one waiting for us on the way home. As the bus rolled through Rolla, MO, near Missouri S&T, our alumni surprised us with the ultimate welcome — standing above the highway with a giant banner cheering on the team! 🎉 From students on the bus to graduates already chasing their engineering dreams, it was a powerful reminder that being a Ratchet Rocker means being part of something bigger than a single season. Seeing the people who once built robots in the same shop — and now study just down the road at a university where many of our current students hope to go — made the moment even more special. From Enid to home, from rookies to alumni… this is what the Ratchet Rockers community looks like. Champions on the field.
