Yesterday, a group of far-right fascists marched in London, holding an antisemitic banner. We identified one of them as Declan Young from Portsmouth. He is the co-leader of White Vanguard UK, a neo-Nazi group.

@frozenwarning @B6 Quite a few years ago. The senior sisters (an absolute few) are B7, but the majority are B6. Nurses are so seriously undervalued in these specialist areas.

My experience too. It's shocking that highly skilled ICU nurses, assigned the sickest and most unstable group of hospital pts, whose observations and expertise predicts and prevents risk are Band 5. Worse, the NIC of a unit, managing pts, nurses,Dr's, AHPs & workflow are paid @B6

It’s outrageous that I work with nurses who manage CRRT and ECMO for the region’s most critically unwell babies and children, being paid band 5. It seems highly skilled bedside nurses are not valued in AfC, anywhere near as much as ‘leaders’ or ‘specialists’.

The article in Unherd is all very well, but somebody needs to point out that Unherd is owned by the same guy who owns @GBNews and the writer has a slot on Lachlan Murdoch’s Times Radio. Frankly, the BBC needs to get better at pointing these things out. This is not to say there is not merit in the piece nor is it to question Rob’s journalism, especially on the tortured trans issue which caused pain to many media orgs as they learned how to navigate it with compassion, a characteristic lacking almost everywhere else.

We're so sad to hear of the death of Dennis Locorriere - the legendary voice at the heart of Dr Hook. He was a remarkable performer and we shall miss him. Dennis was born in New Jersey and made his home here in the UK for the last 24 years.
