Another really good watch. England’s structure is poor and the 116m man Anderson is invisible. Pickford has to make that save. England growing in confidence in attack. If they get one, they’ll get three. Fun game and great atmosphere.

When asked in the build up to this World Cup, I answered that I thought South American and African teams would benefit the most from a North American World Cup. Climate, conditions and crowds. So far that’s playing out. With France being the exception and perhaps the best side.

Biggest problem for Marsch if he wants to go to a back 5, he didn’t work on it in the build up to this tournament, other than at the very end of games. Is that enough? This team really only plays one way. And the legit stars on the Netherlands felt they couldn’t play that way.
