1. God gives us strength. David’s confidence is in God’s power. 2. God’s way is perfect. Faith trusts God’s way in tough times. 3. God’s word proves true. We trust what God says. 4. God is refuge, shield, & rock. He protects and steadies those who take refuge in Him.

Winning a dispute is not a win if the way you fight dishonors God and wrongs others. Being wronged is not a green light to escalate.

Believers, the body of Christ, must be united in holding each other accountable for what God has clearly called serious sin. Every believer will fail and sin, but we must not treat ongoing sin as good, harmless, or normal. Christ showed this kind of love. His love does not excuse rebellion. It confronts sin so people can turn back to Him and find peace and joy.

Before we judge someone too quickly, remember we do not see everything God sees. We can recognize sin, but we do not fully know someone’s motives. The Lord will bring what is hidden to light when He comes, so be slow to judge. Be especially slow when their sin is one you do not usually struggle with.

Important to know and speak this now, when actively walking with God. It is easy to forget when wandering away.

Life is short. Division can become final. Do not harden yourself in needless distance from God or from people. God does not delight in leaving people separated. He makes a way back. Never believe there is no way back.

It is wise to accept correction, have character that makes your marriage stronger (and easier!), speak in a way that helps instead of tears down, and do what is right. Wisdom is not vague. You can see it in how you respond, speak, and live.

The world does not determine what is wise. It will be wrong about who is wise if it rejects God. I put low value on historical finds. God does not need us to prove He exists… as if He is not able to keep something unknown from us. We come to God by faith. Not by proving Him on our terms.

God delivered Paul so he could keep sharing the gospel. 1. God’s path has a purpose. Paul was spared to testify. 2. Opposition does not stop God. The gospel was denounced, but God made a path. 3. God can make confinement fruitful. Paul was held captive, but the message was not. 4. Faithfulness continues. Paul kept teaching about Jesus.

Paul, the prisoner, became the clearest voice on the ship. 1. Faithfulness can give you a clear voice. Paul trusted God. 2. Trusting God still means acting wisely. Paul believed God would save them, but he warned them not to let the sailors leave. 3. You do not need status to be useful to God. Paul had no official power, but God used him to warn and encourage everyone onboard. 4. Calm obedience can steady others. Paul gave thanks, ate, and encouraged everyone else.

“Why does it seem incredible to any of you that God can raise the dead?” Acts 26:8 NLT 1. Do not shrink God down to what seems possible. 2. God made life, why is this difficult? 3. Faith is taking God’s power seriously. 4. I teach nothing except what the prophets and Moses said would happen—” Acts 26:22 NLT 1. God has a plan. His people are not sustained by accident. 2. God does not protect us only for our comfort. 3. Do not hold the gospel back from anyone. 4. Stay faithful to God’s message. Do not invent your own. ———————————————

For telling people Jesus is alive, Paul was in custody and on trial without a real case against him. But God was active too. His purpose is bigger than removing hard things quickly. Faith in God endures. He gives us wisdom and hope to make it thru.

1. First Move: Go to God. Get with Him in prayer. Waiting usually makes it harder. 2. Bring Him the real situation. Do not dress it up. Speak to God about what is actually going on. 3. God is the Creator. All issues are outranked. God is the refuge. 4. Seek mercy, not just relief. Trust God to deliver in His way.

Paul, on his way to being killed for following Jesus, made sure to… 1. Stay steady under pressure. 2. Trust truth to carry the day. 3. Tap into wise and lawful help. 4. Trust God to work through ordinary process. It saved his life.

1. Do not repay evil with evil. Let God handle judgment. 2. Opportunity for revenge is not a green light from God. 3. Your character shows when you resist the trap of easy revenge. Do not become evil while trying to avenge evil. Trust God to handle what only God can handle.

Faithful do not endure because they never fall. They do because God raises & restores His people. We must not become spiritually careless, but when people fall, God is still merciful.

Redemption confronts whatever is stealing worship from God. When Jesus is obeyed, your man-made solutions (gods) get wrecked. Those still captured by idols will freak out when their false gods get crushed. Obeying Christ will create opposition. Following Jesus flips your habits, priorities, comfort, control, and desires. If not, the idols are still running you.
