#Coolie doesn’t quite live up to the bar Lokesh Kanagaraj has set with his movies so far. Has a decently engaging first half with largely focused storytelling but excessively commercialised second half is a major let down. It works in parts but never really as a whole. This is Loki’s weakest work and by the time the film reaches its end with the majorly hyped Aamir Khan cameo, you realise he’s taken the audience for granted. Kinda pains to add that this is not the work of a filmmaker who had set new standards in Tamil cinema.

The main issue with Coolie is its unpolished writing and outdated gimmicks that no longer work. It has too many characters to emotionally invest in, though the storytelling requires them. Still, Coolie has enough appeal that I mostly enjoyed it. #CoolieFDFS #Coolie
