News! I’ve gotten a promotion at work; I’ll still be Editor at @lithub & @CrimeReads (& still writing all my normal film criticism & pop culture/literary history essays there), but I’m also acquiring and editing the odd book for @groveatlantic (which owns both websites, ICYDK).

Shocked and distraught to hear of Andre Braugher’s passing. What’s your favorite Braugher performance? (So many, not enough…) For me and many fans of crime fiction, his Pembleton is perhaps the best possible incarnation of the detectives in David Simon’s brilliant book Homicide.
