Hardik Pandya comes to bat and in Hindi comms Aakash Chopra goes, "Hardik pichhle kuch matches nahi khele the aur unmein MI jeeti hai… aur aaj Hardik wapas aaye h phir se MI sankat mein hai, 4 wickets powerplay mein gir chuke hain." There was genuinely no need for that. Instead of taking subtle digs at a player, there are already so many things to talk about, the match situation, in-depth analysis of the dismissal, tactical changes, field placements, etc. And Aakash actually does all of this really well. He’s a brilliant reader of the game, and many of his insights are genuinely very good. He could have avoided those lines.
