Today is a day for all Americans to pay tribute to the men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform in service to our country. I thank all of those, the living and those who made the ultimate sacrifice, for all they have given and continue to give to our country. I want to especially thank my Dad, Bill Christie, who is an Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Now 93 years old, he still loves our country and serves as a great example to all who know him.

Whoever thought we'd see a president of the United States talking about different marbles that would be used? I don't think President Clinton was talking about marble in the White House. The president is a fish out of water in politics.

Donald Trump ran to bring prices down, grow the economy, put more money in our pockets. Instead, what is he doing? Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, China? When you run on something, you better deliver. He hasn't delivered, and it's going to come back to haunt him.

President Trump continues to put his insatiable hunger for revenge ahead of the Republican Party's success. If his endorsement of Ken Paxton leads to his nomination, tens of millions of dollars will be diverted from competitive races in Ohio, Maine, North Carolina and Alaska to prop up Ken Paxton (who is losing in general election polls). If we lose the Senate in November, there will be one person to blame--President Trump.

Bill Cassidy voted his conscience on impeachment, then spent five years sucking up to Donald Trump. He was the deciding vote for the most unqualified HHS Secretary in my lifetime, a guy laying ruin to the public health system, all to get Trump's favor. Message to my fellow Republicans: you're not going to get his favor. It doesn't work that way.

The president gave us two big reasons for getting into war with Iran: regime change and the nuclear program. If we end this war with the regime not only still in place but stronger politically, and the nuclear program still there, what did we accomplish? If he's going to do this, he's got to get it done. These problems with Iran have been going on for 47 years. We need skilled negotiators with depth of historical knowledge to get a deal that makes this military action one that actually protects America’s national security. The president sent two real estate developers. Why would any of us be surprised by the lack of results?

The president is playing checkers, not chess. He thought this was going to be Venezuela. Iran is not Venezuela. If we come out of this with a strategically stronger Iran, one that knows it can close the Strait at any time and cripple the world economy, it's a geopolitical failure of enormous proportions.

The President’s response is what a child does. It’s reprehensible for anyone to say that about someone who had the life of service that Robert Mueller had. Even more reprehensible for somebody who is the commander-in-chief of the military to say that about a veteran.

I knew and worked with Bob Mueller. I didn’t always agree with him, but he was a Patriot who never said no to his country’s call for service. To speak this way about any veteran is reprehensible; especially so when you are the Commander-in-Chief. Shame on the President.

Bob Mueller was a Patriot who never said “no” when his country called on him to serve. As a Marine in combat in Vietnam. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney prosecuting crime. As Director of the FBI helping to change law enforcement after 9/11. I worked with him at DOJ for 7 years (post-9/11) and, while we did not always agree, he spoke his mind with candor and conviction. My condolences to his wife Ann and the entire Mueller family. I thank him for his service and pray that he rests in peace.

Sam Raia was a great friend and a tireless GOP Chairman in NJ. Sam stood by my side during my years as Governor and helped every worthy Republican candidate. He was also a great husband, father and grandfather. His passing is a huge loss to me and Mary Pat and all who loved him.
