We remember the sacrifice made by the #NewZealand Division in the attack on #BellevueSpur, part of the Battle of #Passchendaele on 12th October 1917. This date remains New Zealand’s darkest day in war history, with the greatest loss of life in 1 single day. #flandersfields #ww1

I'm no GIS expert so this was a fun project today to push my limits.
Thanks to @juanluistv_ for the inspiration with his River Map of Africa and pointing me to the tutorial.
And thanks to @cartocalypse for the tutorial itself.

Today we remember the darkest day in Tokelau 🇹🇰 history. Our people were coerced and tricked onto ships bound for South America. They were stolen and taken as slaves never to return home again. #Pasifika #Blackbirding May we never ever forget!

The first classes at Otago Girls’ High School began on 6 February 1871 – 150 years ago tomorrow. A 1943 scrapbook (AG-655-010/023) outlines the school’s origins and also holds a key ‘all that is left of the old school’. Perhaps it unlocked the doors on that very first day?
