Our Blwddyn 6’ new and improved ‘Y Caban Iach’ is built, stocked and ready for the first customers of the term. Year 6 will run the business at break-times, with classes visiting throughout the week. #Entrepreneurship #healthyschools @EAS_ProfLearn @HengoedPrimary @YstradPrimary

Great day with Chris Evans MP. He was truly impressed by our pupils' confidence and the learning opportunities offered. He loved Boris the rabbit and our guinea pigs! He was amazed by our singing and signing and was quized by the Viaduct Voice team. @EAS_Humanities

National Sign Language Day. Our year 6 pupils were lucky enough to complete a sign Language course today thanks to Wales Council for Deaf People and Adrian and Chaz. The pupils loved it and have already shared their skills with other classes. @EAS_Equity

Another successful year at Hengoed Primary completed. Can I sat a huge thank you to parents and volunteers for your continued support. I would also like to wish our year 6 pupils good luck in their bew secondary schools in September. Remember how special you all are!

We had an amazing afternoon at the Senedd. Thank you Mr Jones for teaching us about democracy and for helping us hold our own Debate. Not surprisingly the children voted for every Friday off! @EAS_Equity @SeneddWales

Another successful Eurovision Song Contest. This year we studied the customs, geography, food and song from Australia, Lithuania, Finland, Malta, Cyprus and Ireland. After the most rousing contest and verified votes, the winners were Malta! @EAS_ExpressArts @EAS_ProfLearn

We spread a little joy this morning on the school run! Our community had a cuppa with an inspiring message on us! Wear it Green for Mental Health day. @EAS_Equity

Massive appreciation for our Head Boy for designing Hengoed Emotion Helpers and delivering an assembly to introduce them. He carefully designed them, thinking of the use of shapes and colours using his art app. Tjese are just a few. I know these will be a fantastic resource.
